The websites clear stop thinking its still there.
If there was still a virus here my virus scanner wouldn't of even let me access this as its extremely sensitive. Cheers |

The two most insecure things in a webbrowser are:
- ActiveX (had one that kept turning off auto-update) - the USER of the browser. fix those problems and you'll have nothing to worry about |

The original iframe that was noticed has been removed, however there have still been some reports of some further problems, as well as the existence of another trickier one, that is encoded and trickier to spot.
QUOTE I loaded the site a few minutes ago and it was still here... Then i turned it off and on again and it was gone... One problem with an iframe is the content it leads to can easily or periodically be changed. I wouldn't be surprised if it works on some sort of cycle. Even if there is no warning now, there may be 5 minutes later. Member A could get an alert for a different virus than Member B. |

Apparently there was another link to the site hidden a little more cleverly, this has also been removed.

The second iframe is gone too.
If Chronic used the patch I showed to Sandy, this forum should be up to standards and much more secure. This is because, hack came from an exploit which the patch fixes. So please settle down, everything is now back to normal. QUOTE -Those having problems with their computer please reformat.
-Those having problems with this forum, please also reformat. -Those that have problems with gamemaker and have not reformatted yet, now is the time to do that. Those that believed my last 4 sentences should bang their heads with their monitor for ∞ times. This post has been edited by uuf6429: Sep 9 2008, 04:46 PM |

XD Yeah, let's format the whole world! He's right people, there's nothing to worry about anymore. The IFrames are gone, and both Norton and Sophos are keeping their mouth shut here. Still, I recommend scanning your system just in case your AV has missed something. This post has been edited by yellowsix: Sep 9 2008, 02:40 PM |

No not all of them have come from the GMC i expect. The bad thing is it's all traced down to a folder of Java's. The message that pops up when i entered the GMC at first said:
Name: OP Company: Hipoint (i think) Then somewhere down the page the Java logo was there. And also a Java icon popped up next to my netgear connection icon. I know that i had a low status cookie, and that's it. And it's not from the GMC directly - because it wasn't your fault, and it was coming from a different site. Be carefull, the IFrame is back (pointing to the same malicious site, inetppui.com).
Allready PM-ed Chronic about it. [edit] The IFrame link itself just changed (indicating someone activily breaking into & editing the forum) to tsurls.com/in.cgi?Lams. This post has been edited by ragarnak: Sep 9 2008, 06:52 PM |
