Please provide a fast mirror for those of us stuck with internet from the stone age

EDIT: It lived upto the theme and standard of the series. But the 10th level stumped me :P

I beat the game now too.
Short and comical.
I have not seen that idea as a game before, so it's new for me to see.
Thanks for uploading, but although it's all polished, I wouldn't say it's 10 or top notch.

I guess that's because the scripting/images are perfect for the game,...but nothing special?

Great fun, as always. The last few seemed easier than ones before them, but oh well.

Hey 2D, loved the game and recommended it on the PC Powerplay forums (www.pcpowerplay.com.au/forums).

On that note, im wondering, did you know they put Karoshi 1 and 2 on their DVD's?

If they indeed did, they would have had to ask him first. So that means yes he does know. But I get PCPP and I have never seen it?

Interesting game, I must say. I havent played any of the earlier ones, but I didnt find it too hard to figure out what to do. The only thing hard was to get my fingers to do what I told them, cause they had some troubles with that.. Anyway, the difficulty seemed a bit off. Some of the middle stages was a real headache, but towards the end, it was pretty easy to solve. Dunno if you ran out of ideas, or if I found a "wrong" way to solve em. I know you made it for the comp, so there was a deadline, but I would have liked to see some more content. The way you introduced more and more co-workers was nice, but it got a bit boring after sum 10 stages when everything was pretty much the same. A few more ideas into it wouldnt hurt. However, I did play through it, so it wasn't bad or anything.

All in all, its a pretty neat game. Somewhat "original" approach :P And I can agree that working in a factory sometimes gives you the urge to commit suicide.

He made it in 3 days o.0

EDIT:
Heh, just forgot to say... its great anyway.. and lucky you that ppl doesnt agree with me on the boss... i thought is was a bit lame and short

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to share a thought on the music. If we'd had more time I would have written a few tracks and let you choose between some different styles for the game, but 2Dcube only told me about the competition on Friday evening! Lol, so I wrote the 1 track in a few hours, and I didn't really have anything else suitable in my back catalogue that would fit the game. So we ended up with only 1.

Oh well, it was great fun to write it anyways,

Cheers

[lots of text]

I think the game's the right length. It's more of a side story than a full on sequel anyway. Extra features I could not implement because of the short time frame.

It felt fresh without losing the feel of the older games, great!

Thanks Erik!

Yeah I heard about it. Thanks! :P

Good to hear feedback from someone unfamiliar with the series. It's true that the most difficult levels are at 2/3rds of the game. Levels after that are less difficult but do things differently sometimes (the blue buttons etc). But yeah none of the 4 characters-levels ended up very hard. I guess I could have put the hard 3 character ones at the end...

Ok, just so ppl know why it isn't as polished as the other ones:

4 or 5. And I think it's very polished. Just no extra features like a level editor. Even so, I'm not sure I would've wanted one.

;)

You did an excellent job in the short time. Thanks again mate ^_^

Also, I forgot to mention Vlad (gamerx) who reminded me of the Karoshi co-op idea. Otherwise I wouldn't even have made this. Thanks!

Awesome game. I would rate it but I don't have a yoyogames account and I'm not planning on ever making one.

I also would rate it here, But screw ratings. Its a good game made by a good game making program used by a good game maker who makes games with game maker.

I like the boss with the missiles, Is it just me or are they trying to avoid me? Once they hit the idle gray(grey?) guy ;P

For a game made in four or five days, this is very nice. I'd still say Karoshi 2.0 is my favorite - it's more clever and all around more fun - but this one is quite challenging and looks a lot nicer. It doesn't bring too much new to the table, unfortunately, but all in all it's an enjoyable game.

As has been mentioned before, though, the full-screen switch might bring up some complications in the competition. Good luck, though.

It was a little while back, but not that long...within last year and a half for K1, and only recently (like last 5 issues maybe?) for K2.

I'd already played them though.

Love this game too

I liked this game. I really did. And clearly there are a lot of people that like it too.
Somehow, though, it just seemed a little less like the other games. The atmosphere just felt... Wrong for Karoshi.
It's certainly more polished than most games, but it just felt a little rushed.
Not that I mean to insult you or anything, but I think part of the reason it's been received so well is given the popularity of your games, especially Karoshi. Everybody like it and sees it because of the last 2.
I think my main problem with it comes from the fact that it doesn't include as many of the non-sequitur levels, such as the infamous K button or the chasing of a garbage can. It sort of added to the charm.
Anyway, I'm not trying to insult you or anything. Personally, I'm a fan of your games. They're my favourites on YYG. I just think it's a little cheap that a series that (I think) you said you were done with continued solely for a competition in the last minutes. Apologies if you hadn't said that, I can't remember :P
