Pretty much a platform engine, has all the basics, everything is GML, uses all variables, only 2 scripts used. Pretty much all you have to do is edit the creation event's variables to customize it for your games feel. Give credit if used please, credit goes to Ryan Spice, or Black Gaming Studios. Please report any bugs.

New in Version 2.5:

-Fixed some bugs

-Added some code for multipul sprites

Nice work!

However, you can jump as many times as you want. It's an easy fix - but those less experienced in gml will have trouble.

The peak of the jumps are jumpy (no pun intended). It looks like once you're at the height of your jump and start to fall, the character moves a few unnecessary pixels down, and instead of gradually increasing his fall speed, he starts falling instantaneously fast.

just one question - i had an issue regarding that, for some reason the variables wont respond to how many jumps are takin, or something, Im thinking of having a new verson with water and some other stuff, ill try and fix it again.

TrahyByen - I dont get what you mean, i thought it was fine?


As said above i may or maynot be having a second verson.

A sneek peek video of verson 2 has been added, probably doesnt show much, but im planning to implement the following:

Jump Through Platforms.
An attempt in horizontal moving platforms.
Updraft (the part where it moves up and spins, will make spinning optional).
and a few other little nicnacs.

Updated to Black's Platform Engine 2, added a complete revamp of the jumping and gravity, full details in first post.

Did a small update, fixed some buggs, added in comment code for mulitipul images for walking jumping and falling.
