Guitar Hero Library
Version 2.0

:GM7:/:GM8: Pro

Create your own Guitar Hero Videogame with no knowledge of GML.

  • Easy to use
  • Will not disappoint!
  • Comes w/an example to get you started

The GHlib V2 is bigger, faster, better and more glitch-free as compared to Version 1.
    DOWNLOAD LINK:

IMPORTANT STUFF:

If you use this in one of your games, you don't have to give me credit, but it is appreciated.
This LIB is compatible with GM7 Pro and GM8 Pro only. And no, I'm not making a GM8 Lite, GM7 Lite or GM6 version.
This LIB is not backwards compatible with GHlib V1, meaning you cannot mix actions from GHlib V1 into a game with GHlib V2 actions.
To install the lib, place the file GHlibV2.lib in the Lib folder in your Game Maker directory..

I don't use libs, but I'd like to see an example made with it. (EXE, I don't want to install that lib)

Well, I'm not necessarily sure at this point... you could test, though.

EDIT: Nevermind, only works with GM7... (if you have lite you can use it, too)

The controls don't seem to work too well, at least in the example anyway. I can constantly bash the 1, 2, 3 and up arrow keys and nothing happens-- none of the "notes" are hit.

What do you mean? Do the notes not play when you press a number button and the strum button? or is it something else?

Also, in V1.1 you will be able to have custom controls. :skull:

The colored boxes that come down the screen and (as I assume) you're supposed to "hit" them when they reach the colored boxes at the bottom of the screen. I can bash 1, 2, 3, and the up arrow constantly but it rarely registers and the "notes" (or whatever they're called) just scroll on by.

Well, let me test the example... it may have been damaged or something when I uploaded it. I'll PM you later...

Nope, nothing was wrong. just hold down the number key BEFORE you play a note, so nothing glitches up :)

I noticed a glitch with the health initialization and adding and subtracting health. If you all have noticed this too, it will be fixed in V2, which is scheduled to come out on the 31st.

Does not need GM7 pro

Technically You need Game Maker Pro to Use extensions in the first place.

It's a library, not an extension
