This is going to be hard, my top five would probably be:

5 - Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M - N64
4 - Carnivores - PC
3 - Body Harvest - N64
2 - Aliens VS Predator Gold Edition - PC
1 - Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers - NES

Yes, they are personal - many would hate my choice. I enjoy the sequels to many of the above listed games to.

5# Bioshock
Even though i havent played the game yet, i was exited, reading about its story and gameplay, i think this is actually one of the best storylines ever seen in a game.
4# Portal
This is the most addicting game i have ever tried beside blasting enemys down in shooters.
3# Half Life 2
Not only is this a masterpiece, the protagonist, Gordon Freeman, has also been appointed as the greatest videogame hero ever. Winning the finale against Mario with 58%.
2# Team Fortress 2
Hours have flied in this one. Not only is there a wide range of classes, they also have personality, wich make it even more funny.
1# Left 4 Dead 2
My newest game, dont know if its just a period, but i use hours on it. The versus matches is slightly better because you can be more infecteds and the enviroment makes it hard to rush through.

Does anybody dare to guess whos my favorite game developer? :P

5 HALF LIFE 2

N IF U THNK OTHRWS THN UR BG RETRD DUM FK!!! FK UR MOM!!!! U SUK IF U DO NO LIEK HL2 NOB GO FK URSLF NUB RTRD U SUK!!!!!!!!111111

/stereotypical valve fanboy imitation

My real list:

1 N\A
2 N\A
3 N\A
4 N\A
5 N\A

Sorry, i don't rank ANY game "greatest of all time" because we haven't reached the end of time, for example i can be a complete moron and nominate cod4\hl2\far cry and then next year when another 'greatest of all timez!!!!' topic is opened, i would nominate cod5\half life 3\far cry 2, why? Because every new cod\hl\far cry game is hyped to sh*ts and then becomes the new "GREATEST OF ALL TIMES!!!" game, therefore contradicting my previous choice to nominate cod4\hl2\far cry, understood?

Then you're not making an arguement.
My entire point is that it isn't called "Guitar hero four" but it has an actual name.

Yes, but it is also referred to as Guitar Hero IV/Four. Search Guitar Hero 4 via a search engine and see what comes up :D .

Banjo and Kazooie

On of my favorites to. :D

That game defined a huge part of my childhood. To this day, no game can match the initial feeling of joy I had when I first turned it on and began exploring it's world. I played the game again recently (after about 10 years), and the sounds and music brought me back to my childhood in a way nothing else ever could. The feelings of nostalgia were so strong that I almost had to shut the game off.

Super Mario Bros 3
Halo 1
Call of Duty 4
Half-life 2
Banjo and Kazooie

You confuse me greatly.

Super Mario Bros 3 took up hundreds of hours of my early childhood. Probably one of the best games ever made.
Halo 1 is great because it introduced me to my first, unforgettable lan party. Never had as much fun gaming overnight ever again.
Call of Duty 4 is great because it's just so well made. I'm also a sucker for war games.
Half-life 2... Nothing more to say. If this isn't on your list you have issues.
Banjo and kazooie is platforming it it's best. It even beats out Super Mario 64 imo.

Same here, I spent so much time on that game... I will listen to the theme music online once and awhile for fun. :D Did you enjoy Banjo-Tooie? I love this one as well.
Half-Life was a big game for me. It was one of the first PC games other than Carnivores and Alien Vs. Predator that I got into deeply. Half-Life 2 made my jaw drop when it came out. It was great. :D

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
2. Dragon Age: Origins
3. Minions (online multiplayer :D extremely addicting flash tank game)
4. Playing actual guitar (guitar hero is... how do I say... FAIL)
5. Gears of War 2

I've played through that first KOTOR game about... 30 times (no joke) haha and i still love the way the game is, even with it's xbox limited graphics and not super fast paced combat, it has a great story that is fun to interact and be a part of.

I never knew 'Playing Actual Guitar' was a video game or that the Guitar Hero series revolved around one big fail.
