Simple Twenty-One

This is a simple Twenty-One game. I don't know why I chose to make it, I don't really know the rules for Twenty-One. So if some of the rules are wrong, please let me know. Also, this is a simple version, it doesn't contain advanced rules such as 'split'. Enjoy.

Rules: The goal of this game is to have you 'hand' of cards equal to 21, or at least closer to 21 than your opponents (without getting more than 21).
eg. (Get more than 21 and you lose automatically.
Get higher than your opponent without going over 21 and you win.
Get less than your opponent and you lose.)
Most cards count as their numerical value.
Ace counts as 1 or 11 (the best value for the situation).
Jack, Queen and King count as 10.
You have the choice to 'Hit' (take another card) or 'Stand/Stay' (don't take another card, and let the opponent have their turn).
After your opponents turn the winner is announced (or it's a draw if both players have the same score).

If you use this engine, I would like some credit (although not required).

Come on, why didn't this got atleast some attention! This example is great for blackjack games. Though still, rather use this to learn than to create an actual game out of it.

10/10, does what it's made to do!

I know its a bit late with it being 2010 and all but I would like to say this engine is brlliant. Its the only working 21 engine that i can find. All the other ones, when you get out, bring the textbox up first before you see the card. I would like to say this is perfect. I will be crediting you in future creations.

100/100
Performance: 10/10
Awesomeness: 50/50
No bugs: 10/10
Graphice: 30/30

Perfect score!

Pseudo-random makes virtual gaming much less fun, I am also almost sure that you forgot to add the option of a black Jack (either the Jack of clubs or the Jack of spades) which is worth more then 21 (say a kind and an ace).

This is my first post but 3rd year using GameMaker....

Is this a playable demo, or will i or the people using this engine have to make it work.

If it is a playable demo, How do i get it to start? When it loads there is just the control object..... I have tried pressing x but still it does nothing.

Do you have GM8, since GM8 doesn't run GM6 files properly, although GM7 does.

Ah. That might be the problem. Thanks for the help.

Better whip out my copy of GM7 again (I believe that ran GM6 pretty much perfectly)
