To start: Horrible, horrible layout.

And, to add to it: No GM content. I would report, but someone already did the honors.

I know my layout sucks. I had to create the graphics with paint shop pro 8, which is not a very easy program to use. I am awaiting the arrival of a program I ordered, and as soon as I get it and install it, I'm going to redo the graphics for the page. Until then, it's going to look horrid.

You don't need good graphics to make good CSS/HTML. And, for the record, I learned how to use PSP in 1 hour. If you know Photosahop, or the Gimp, you should know how to use it.

Good to see that you added some content, at least. However, you made the common mistake that plagues the GMC: Releasing your site without enough content. That is one of the big no-no's in webdesign, as it turns people off of your site.

seems we got a bit of flaming going on here! lol...

ok. I don't know how to use photoshop very well, so I really don't know how to use Paint Shop Pro very well. I'm also not very good at graphic design yet.

Yes, I added some content, and I will be adding more later today. I also am learning web design, so I don't know the 'big no-nos' quite yet. I'm 15 so, you got to give me props for what I have so far. I've only been working on it for a day or so.

Back to the big picture. I would love to here you guy's input on the site. If you have any thoughts about it, please feel free to post here. I also need some stuff to talk about in my webshow, so lets see some posts about some good scripts, games, tutorials, and such. I want to know what you want to see!

Yes, there is some hope!

Finally, a website with a decent Domain and Hosting! You deserve a round of aplause, seriously.

The design might not be that good so far, but I'm sure you're working on it. It looks like the design is custom too!

I'd rather see a poor custom design than a decent-looking freewebs template used millions of times, literally.

Good luck with the website, and well done for now.

Yes. The design isn't too good right now. Hopefully I should be redesigning it very soon. The design is custom, as I am doing it myself. what about freewebs now? freewebs is horrible!

Regardless of the fact that you have a domain (which some people seem to think automatically makes your site creditable) the site doesn't look good at all. Take a look at some free templates, and see how it is set out so you can try and work off them.

I know the site looks horrid right now. I'm in the process of making look better. I hate templates. I think they are kind of stupid. They soon get old because their used over and over and over and over and over...

I agree with DarkSoft.

A custom poor design is better than a freewebs template.
I give all freewebs websites 0/10. You get 2/10 so far.

I like the font, it's cool looking! 2/10 isn't so bad for right now...

Update on the site: I got my program for making 'pretty good' graphics (Fireworks), so I'm working on the site design as we speak. I should have the revamped site up within a day or so. Keep checking back for more updates!

How so? Just because of where they come from?
Freewebs designs actually look good, even though they are overused. For design, if you use a freewebs template, I would give you a 5/10. that 5 gone for unoriginality.

For a custom poor design, your right, a 2/10.

I see websites as art. When the same design for free is being used at over (I don't accualy know, 50000+) places, it's no longer artistic the same way. That's why i don't like Freewebs and perfer less good looking true work of art enstead of that old design i've seen over 100 times.

So, instead of a classic abstract, you'de prefer to see a stick figure drawn by me right now?

It appears that their are not any bugs on your site (I have only checked it out for about 6 and a half second though ;) on FireFox Windows XP)

It actually looks on a scale from 1-10 this time 10 being weakest 1 being strongest I'd give it a 4 pretty darn good lookin' -_- keep up the good work and May God Bless you all ;)

You're being more artistic drawing a stick figure than register on freewebs choosing whatever design you might like.
Edit: And what the heck does a stick figure have to do with webdesign?

You said you see websites as Art. You prefer crappy originality to perfect reused. So, thats where the stickfigures came from.

I don't think I'd rather a stick figure, but freewebs templates just don't stand out any more. That's why most people don't like seeing them; it screams, "I can't use CSS".

Anyways, your site is very simple. The layout itself (the arrangement of items on the page) is fine, but the text and colors aren't pretty. The black on gray is bland, and difficult to look at. Consider changing the red links, too.

And stick figures don't scream "I can't draw"?

Anyways, I think we should get back on topic, before a mod reads this thread :D
