Hiya everybody.

No, I will NOT work on Slime Online any longer...I stopped working on it a long time ago.

Anyway, I want to release the Final Version and the Final Server so those that are interested can still play a bit more.

Slime Online - 4you Package!
*fixed* Mod-Tools <-- DOWNLOAD THIS TOO!
The package is 19.X MB...have fun with it.

There is a GAME and a SERVER folder ...I also added the MOD TOOLS.

Important Note:
Any damage that the game or one of it's components might cause are NOT done by me and I will not take responsibility for it.
Play the game at your own risk!

Hosting:

To host a game you will have to run the "Server Setup.exe" to created a Settings file for the Server.exe
Once you are done with that you can run the "Server.exe".
Make sure to open/forward the port that you choose.

You can also play for yaself.
Simpley run the server and for the client to connect use 127.0.0.1

Enjoy the game.

Thanks for the greattime everybody.

I will now magicaly dissappear from the GMC

Thanks again for everything!
Dont let the Independent Game Scene die!

BlaXun

No, there is no source.....but..yes, I know that some people can easily decompile the server.

But, hey...I don't really care...

I worked on this long enough...and it ended abruptly.

This version is directed to those who want to live throught the good old times again.
Its all exe-files....yap, u can decompile it...but...I dont care.

As long as I dont see a "Slime Online 2" soon which is just a modified version I do not care.

Why don't you release the source instead? If I wanted to see it...I would much rather not use the decompiler.

Well, now everybody can host the server.

There is nothing bad about it...
Seriously....I could also just lock up the game so nobody would ever see it again...
But instead i decided to make it available to those that are still interested.

This way my long work will live on a bit longer...I don't really see anything bad in this.

Thanks BlaXun,
I appreciate this, I was one of your biggest fans in the early stages of SO, but then I got busy and never got to play the last few versions, so this will give me a chance to check out what you have done. smile.gif

Why not pass it on temporarily? So it still continues and you can continue if you ever wanted to.

Because it's hard to trust someone with a the source to a game he's worked on for over a year.

I doubt there is someone he could trust with this kind of thing. Don't worry though, an official Slime Online 2.0 has begun by huge_stinker and Austing. Check the SO boards for more info!

Blaxun this is a good idea! What would be good is if there was a server list in it, oh well.
And please don't release the source.
