Oh, it's that simple? Wow thanks! I have some really good ideas for this...

Thanks a lot for the awesome TDS engine!

*I dunno why, but I for some reason regrouped the guns into different categories.

Not sure if it's better, but it isnt bad, either!

Let me know when you have a playable version of the game, as I would really like to check it out! ^_^

If you have any more questions about the engine, please feel free to ask. Also, I have uploaded the photoshop file for the weapon select icons in case you need them! Check it out here: http://host-a.net/Cr...eaponSelect.zip

EDIT: Also just added an example of how to create a rocket launcher using the dummy bullet system! Check it out here http://host-a.net/Cr...her_example.zip

If anyone has any requests for more resources, please let me know!

Ok I will! It is so far going really well. I am trying to figure out how I would make a sword for an added weapon but I dont want to put it in the Right Click knife button. Like, selecting it at the weapon menu. I need to be able to swing and block with it, so far it only swings and has (obviously) unlimited ammunition.

Also explaining the rest of the gun creation system would help, but I can probably figure it out.

Oh, the game will probably have 20 levels, 10 on earth and 10 on an alien homeworld, since the storyline has the governments frozen Alien from Area 51 awakening and calling in an invasion to anhhialate earth, and brainwashing the people into thinking nothing is going on via tv and radio signals. So far I am finished Mission 12.

I'll make sure to show you when it's done! :D

That sounds awesome! Can't wait to try it out -_-
What specifically do you need to know about the gun creation system? The dummy bullet system allows you to greatly customize each gun by adding specific properties. For example, check out the Rocket Launcher example I posted earlier. The RPG-7 bullet includes a dummy bullet that creates a smoke effect every step, and then triggers an explosion when it's destroyed. Let me know if you need more help!

Very nicely done. One of the most complete engines I've seen. I'll see if I can get round to GMLizing it. Small question: What program did you make the dying sprites with?

@NAVgames
Thanks! A GML version of the engine would be good for more advanced users. I used photoshop to do frame by frame. Photoshop is the ultimate tool, and the main reason my games have good graphics :medieval:

@Maverik94
Dual pistols is just a graphic I made in case anyone wants to create a dual pistol weapon. There isn't a dual pistol weapon configured by default.

@ev149
Thanks! ::lmao::

I really appreciate the comments! :P

Interesting. VERY good graphics, but the Artificial Intelligence could be...a bit less intelligent. Example: Don't have the baddies shoot the pixel after they turn a corner. That gives them an unfair atvantage. Good Job, very good graphics - 8.5/10

@Seacowgaming
Thanks! Menu stuff was created using Adobe Photoshop, and sprites are a mix of original and heavily modified sprites that I found a long time ago. Photoshop is a really great program if you want to make a game with great graphics.

@connor4312
The delay before the enemy shoots at you can be set in the create event of the enemies. Hope that helps!

Cool example. Decent AI and good graphics.
Nice use of starcraft sounds ::lmao::

But wish you would not have made it d&d. This makes it useless to me. It takes more time to edit the d&d and I cant use some things I want to like this. Cool example but gml would be nice

Yeah sorry about the D&D. :) I designed this engine for less experienced game maker users. I figured experts would be making their own engines for their games anyways. By the way, do you have any suggestions on how I can improve the AI? Thanks B)

Absolutely! The engine is very flexible with gun customizations, so you can actually change much more than just the speed of the bullets. Here's how to get to it:

- Go to Objects > Player > man_sp
- Click on the Begin Step event
- The comments at the top tell you what each variable is responsible for
- Scroll down and find the weapon you want to edit
- All you have to do is increase the velocity variable in the piece of code action

If you have any more questions, feel free to post them!
