Really great game

Some of the puzzles were hilariously easy, but entertaining nonetheless

More people need to make games like this; entertaining, fun, and to the point

I LOVE THIS GAME! It's puzzles are masterfully designed. They are genius! My only complaint: over way too quickly. Nevertheless, AWESOME work!

Anyone ideas for Karoshi 2?

When finishing the last final boss (whatever he's called), and the level with the big head of which the beginning looks exactly like level 1, I would have expected that the game just continues by playing all the other levels with the big head. That would maybe be more fun (it would be just hilarious).

Also... a little impossible maybe... But I like the idea of being able to replay all levels in a different way. I'm not sure how to implement that in Karoshi 2.

Anyone ideas for Karoshi 2?


* You need a level editor, their always fun, maybe an uploading system to boot so you can find levels on a website or something. (Might be difficult if you lack in online coding.)

* Many more levels.

* Maybe a co-op mode, where players work together to kill each other?

* The player has to obtain the petrol can and get to the barrel/drum of fire to kill themselves or something along those lines.

* Keys, they have to open doors to get to the next area to actually kill themselves.

* Normal, Hard, Super Hard mode.

Anyway their just some ideas, enjoy.

Level editor: will have one. No online uploading or anything though.
More levels: No problem.
Co-op: Sounds cool but too much work to implement.
Different difficulty settings: I don't see how that'd work. This is not a game where I can just up the number of enemies if the player selects Hard mode.

i can help with the online thingi! and btw, what about final destination as name? (if you seen the movies, you should understand why the name would fit :))

I haven't seen it. I know Smash Bros has a Final Destination level...

This is one of the only GM games to make me actually laugh out loud. Some of the puzzles were pretty clever, too.

Glad you liked it, and if someone laughes out loud because of the game I'm really happy.

actually, i would pay a 1-3 dollars for karoshi 2! (if i had that much money...)

That's cool, but Uh... I don't think many people would, so it'll be freeware. You can still donate me money though ; ).

If I don't get any new crazy ideas for Karoshi 2 (that take days to implement) I will release the game this evening. So if you have anything you feel should be in the game, you have to tell me now.

OMG!!!!! I can't wait! :)

IDEA FOR KAROSHI 2: A level where you have to create a fire, and then jump into it. A bit lame I know.

It might be a stupid question, but what does the name Karoshi mean anyway? Is it an invented word or did you get it from some foreign language?

I loved it - apart from the music. It was obviously just a few garageband loops thrown in. There was no timing, it was all over the place and didn't work. I think if you just arranged the music to be more in beat, and have less "randomness" then it would have worked better.

I got stuck on level 2 :D

In the wings level, is there something beyond the initial spikes? I tried flying as far as I could but I keep hitting the spikes and dying.

You guys should look at the date on these things... Karoshi 2 is already out, in fact, 2DCube already made another 2 games after karoshi 2.

What a great litlle game, some of the puzzles fustrated me but when I got though the whole game. Would really like to see some more levels. Great job.

I just can't seem to figure out 24(or is it 23? I have 23 kills so far). There's absolutely no way the blocks could fall on top of you unless you somehow hack the game and make the guy run faster, and the spikes obviously aren't the way to go because once you're at the bottom of the room, there's no going back up.

I love this game. the graphics have their own style, the music fits, and the final boss is hilarious. I didn't mind the "K" level, but 23 sucked in my opinion. Great game, now on to number 2!

Level 24: Push the first block onto the switch. Push the next block to the left so that it intersects the disappearing wall, then push the right most block onto the switch. Get the gun and jump over to the left to shoot the green wall and push the block on the square switch. You can push the block through the wall if you've placed it right, and then get down to the spikes.

I am very happy with the great responses, it's always tricky seeing how people react, but I feel like it's been worthwile. There's one thing I didn't expect to happen (so, I've learned something new), which is the befamed K level. It seemed pretty obvious to me (and once you figure it out it is) but you just don't think about the solution that way, because it's so different from the other puzzles.
