I agree with Necromian, the graphics are good, but the text and bloody borders kind of detract from the simple, puzzle-game nature of the game. Also, what exactly does 'Karoshi' mean?
It does detract a little, but not too much in my opinion. About the graphics. I think I could have done better, and I think people know that (after I made Frozzd). It's just that I didn't want to put as much work in it. I just wanted to have some fun.
"Karoshi" is a word the Japanese invented: It means "death by working too hard".
the difficulty didn't steadily increase. I found level 5 to be a little on the hard side, and then after that level the game eased up a bit, and climbed back up and sorta went all over the place.
I wanted to do a difficulty curve that is not as linear as usual, I think it's better to have it vary. I may have overdone it a little.
the game looks pretty bad with those white pixels and the player is... yeah.
Look, I'm lazy like that ok? About the graphics, in the end I decided to make it sort of bad on purpose, that is also why I used the pixely blue text as well.
This is your first good game !
Thanks! ....wait what?
Best game here.
This is the essence of prue ownage.
This is now one of my favrate games of al time.
Wow. Also, I like your name.
that was a pretty cool game. I wish it was longer though.
Thanks. It is indeed pretty short, but it has a lot of gameplay, with a lot of variety imo. It's more of an experiment and a side project for me. I wanted something I could make without too many problems, and if I'm working on a huge, long game I often loose motivation.
@redstone, that is a nice tutorial! If you're stuck at level 24 check it out.
I am very happy with the great responses, it's always tricky seeing how people react, but I feel like it's been worthwile. There's one thing I didn't expect to happen (so, I've learned something new), which is the befamed K level. It seemed pretty obvious to me (and once you figure it out it is) but you just don't think about the solution that way, because it's so different from the other puzzles.
