Hi, if you are like me then I know you hate it when newer users to game maker make a game off of the doom fps example and don’t add anything except lvl design. well I am here because I need everyone's help on this to create a list of re-makes of the fps example that actually show how to do something different such as better AI, more weapons, or even lighting. if you have made an example like that with the official fps example then post it with a like to the screeny not direct. And if you haven't please make one so newer user's can learn more and less questions asked.

Here are the examples so far:

EDIT: I noticed you stated something about it being Wolfenstien, my bad.

More like Wolfenstien than Doom. May want to change the title. But that's not the point. The example was good. All I'd ask for is the guy to walk a little faster. It was really slow.

Pretty nice. Something that would be awesome to do is it flashes your screen red when shot and an arrow points to where it came from, but nah. Good, any who. Seems Mark Overmars worthy (as in it really could've been fps7 in the tutorial thing)

Here's a good example that was actually a kind of a WIP that I didn't do much on and was actually created from the yoyo example.

Some things that are different
-Slopes and multi-flooring
-Mouse aiming and shooting
-Jumping
-Lava
-Basic 3D images like cubes, cylinders, and the plants
-3 weapons(punching, pistol, and shotgun)
-Other stuff on interface(healthbar, weapon type, and ammunition)
-Enemies are basically the same but can travel up and down the slopes
-Many sounds

Right now there's a bug with opening doors for some reason which is that sometimes the dont slide, they just disspear and
sometimes they kill the monsters behind them and destroy part of the wall. You are free to edit and fix that if you like.
That should be the only bug though.

So far it's pretty awesome! Hey, here's one thing I'd love to see people do: If they could make the enemies 3D by using a certain code I remember seeing so you'd be behind them and their back is facing you.

just because it says 6.1 in the link doesn't make it gm 6.1
and i don't have the GM7.0 converter so if anyone has it, be my guest to convert it if you want.

Just because it says so doesnt mean it is eh? Heh, well arent you a nice person. :)
By the way I have an fps example in game maker 6, however though the only things that set it apart from other fps example edits is that it has a faster enemy, an enemy that appears to be flying, and a doom-guy-like face icon that shows the state of the player. The 3rd enemy is supposed to be one that is like the main grunt from doom/wolfenstein/etc, but due to your gmk...
Anyway here is link to the download, just remember that its in .gm6 so youll probably have to use the magical converter that orange is goin on about :)
Hay guys its me teh link to teh downlaod

wait what? the magical converter converts gm7 to gm6, gm7 can open up gm6 fine... no converter needed...
and most people use gm7 now... so those who still use gm6 shouldn't be bugging the gm7'ers because there using an outdated version of GM...

The wolfenstein 3d game when you change the textures and edit the room, the bullet can actually shoot through the wall! I made a corner and the person is behind the wall and I shoot and I go to check the person already died... Maybe I could make bullet collision with wall then instance destroy...
