The Real Chao Raising Simulator

EDIT (the second): Now that I'm back home, Ive been able to make Chao Life v1.1, fixed the bugs, added a few bits here and there and theres even a few more secret chao. Joy!

EDIT: More download links due to problems, thanks for letting me know. Unfortunatly I cant change the bugs in the game as I only have access to the exe on my laptop. I'll make the changes once I go back home.

Hello everyone

I have created a game that allows you to create and play as a Chao. You can play games, collect rings, enter competitions, customise your garden, watch T.V, visit a plastic surgeon and everything else you would expect from a light-hearted childs game!

As your Chao gets older and you improve its stats with food and/or Chaos Drives, it will transform based on its type (Hero, Neutral and Dark,) and also its stats. There are over 30 different types of Chao to be, and you can even include your own...what will you become?

Note: There is no magic level or smart level in normal chaos.

Can you make a non-fullscreen version?

Wow thanks very much for such great comments! This did take a long time to make so it is really appreciated to get feedback.
- I never experienced a problem with lag (except when loading the music externally sometimes) but I will look into that
- You can change from full screen to windowed in the options screen on the main menu.
- Theres no plastic surgeon in real chao! Lol yeah I added them to make it a bit different to what everyones seen before, thats why theres so many custom chao in it!

After playing extensively, I found two bugs.

One, while buying items you may press down to buy a negative amount, which will give you rings.

Using said bug, I got my flying to 27, and when I raced, I flew past the finish line, making it impossible to win.

You might wanna fix those two bugs in the future...

Smart is a chao level in Sonic Adventure 2 but it was hidden.
Also Chao plural is still Chao. Chaos is that water guy who protects Chao.

Ide have to agree. It was the mouse. It moves about as fast as a mcdonalds fuled couch potatoe! But I soooooooo Wish I could play! Just by clicking new game, making my chao, and exiting, Im going to say 7/10, and if my computer was faster, 11/10!

Thats not how its pronounced.

Its Ch-ow-z, I know this because in Sonic Adventure two battle they have a thing on Chaos and they say it like that.

They did have a smartness level. There was no bar, but the level was increased with certain animals, like Skull Dogs, and after you increased his level, the chao would be able to wear hats and stuff.

And skull-dogs have nothing to do with "Smartness" its just random stuff they put into the game.

Does anyone know how to buy the "Smartness fruit" though, It was in the manual! (Talking about sonic adventure 2 battle) I think it was a joke or something

And I'll repeat myself. There IS a smartness level. Take a newborn chao and try to give it a hat. It will throw it away. Give it a skull dog and try it again. The chao will put the hat on.

Thats not a smartness level.

Thats not even smartness, Its a function in the game.

If it was a level, then your chao would gain levels and get the new dance or whatever thats there

but that doesn't happen, Your school has stuff randomly so if it was really levels he wouldn't gain random stuff, he would gain set dances or stuff.

There is no smartness level, case closed


Anyways, I'm gonna play this game in windowed mode then (maybe) give a rating for it

Luck and Intelligence are Chao Stats you just can't see them.

Luck
On the Dreamcast, Luck is raised by choosing the correct treasure chest in the Chao Adventure 2 mini game. On the Gamecube version, it can be raised by giving your Chao gold class animals (this is NOT true for the Dreamcast game). Luck is needed on some of the courses where at the end; your Chao must choose a lane to run down. If your Chao picks the wrong one, it will fall down a hole and probably lose its position.

Intelligence
Again, on the Dreamcast version, Intelligence can be raised in the Chao Adventure 2 mini game, this time by eating Smart Fruits collected there. The Gamecube version lets you raise intelligence by giving your Chao blue class animals (but NOT in the Dreamcast version). You should raise intelligence as it will help your Chao solve the different puzzles in the course such as the shape game, and how quickly it solves the jack in the box puzzle.
