Neoxer Platformer Lib v3.1!!!!!!
(My first Lib) :GM7:PATCH
I Just decided to make the Easiest-D&D system for platformers as possible. Make an entire platform game w/o a single line of code!!!!! I love helpin the n00bs. XP Unregistered O.K. 24 actions as of now, but I am constantly going to update it!!

Includes:
-Slopes
-Jump-Through(Ghost) Platforms
-Springs
-Killing enemies (Mario-Style)
-Goomba-type enemie system
-Example Enclosed
-Multi-Jump
-Vertical/Horizontal Platforms
-Water
-Ladders
-Checkpoints
-Die if under screen
-HOLD Jumping (higher if you hold the jump key)


UPDATE:
I patched the whole jumping ridiculously high glitch people get.


In a week or so I am Going to do a separate Lib STRICTLY for enemies. But for now, ENJOY.

You don't need anyone else to help you make a ZIP. Just take the file(s) that are in the .rar, and place them on your desktop or whatever. Right click on empty space and select

New/Compressed Zip Folder (Or whatever, it will have ZIP in it)

Then drag and drop the files into the folder.

Nice lib, btw.

This is the best Platform lib I saw. It covers the basic on Platform games.

My next update is comming soon and I have a 'dying' action. And I'll even thrown in some lives.
Update on Friday!!!!!!!! :)
Also: Multi-jump, water, ladders, and more!!! woot!!

Personally I won't be using this as I'm pure GML and don't use any LIB to be honest.

Not that they're bad, it's just that I feel more comfortable with GML.

I always like to see things improved and like to help others improve what they have by any means possible.

So if you don't mind here's a few tips for the LIB.

#1. Make the jumping variable on how long you press the spacebar.

#2. Mabye add in some sort of gravity decreaser if you press up while falling. I'm sure you've played mario as you refferenced to it. You know how he pulls the cape out and slowly decends (like a parachute kind of effect).

other than that if I have any other tips I'll share them with you the help improve this for others to enjoy.

Good Job, this should be helpful to alot of beginners.

Ty for your critisicm, I adressed the whole Jump higher longer they hold the jump key. Woot!!

Very nice, however I have a few suggestions.
1)Enemy HP (have to hit them multiple times to kill)
2)Terrain Tags(Give a ground type a tag #, tag #ers have selectible friction and jump true/false.)

Really good for a first and I look forword to updates!

It is very nice but, the check points are a bit wrong, if you get one check point, you can go back and get the other. Perhaps just say when collision with checkpoint, destroy the check point thing just an Idea.

Not sure about bumping rules, but this is an awesome lib - and people should know about it. Only problem is, my char jumps 24 pixels through my 6x6 slopes.

1.what size is your character
2. is it compromising to your game to increse the size of your slopes??

the character is 12x12, and it would be a bit annoying to resize and edit the levels :)

are you trying to make the slope a ghost platform, because i havent figured that out yet. :) PM me so as to not continuously bump this topic, its not fair to other topics.
