Looks sick man, if only I could read it on a browser...
Edit: Website is not availble please insert valid website =P Anyway, I liked the cover page. Well Done either way! Format was a bit messy at some parts and sometimes hard to find your place in such.... however, the keywords were a good idea.. and I thought that was kind of cool... Anyway, I hope that you continue working on it and you clean up the template a bit other then that good job! the interview thing was nice, it was overall a good read, hoping for the next issue =P This post has been edited by SunTzus: Feb 14 2008, 12:02 AM |

Shouldn't this be in Web Site Announcements? I know it's a magazine, but usually these sorts of things don't go in the Community forum. Anyway, I didn't have a chance to look at the magazine itself, but I can comment on the website.
Firstly, I like the logo. It isn't over bearing or distracting, and ads a little bit of quality to a site. Secondly, the main body is a little plain. There should probably be images for the sides of the page content. Thirdly, the first news post basically repeats what the main header says. I would remove this bit: "Hello and welcome to Gamemaker Magazines homepage. Welcome to the Official site of the Game Maker Magazine." As for the "Download an Issue" page, you should probably just change the name to Downloads, or something along that line. You should also host the files on your own server. The first issue is dated "February", so I assume you release a monthly issue? If so, you should probably say this somewhere. And as for the "Submit" page, you should probably change that to "Contact" or "About". I would also not recommend putting you personal email down, but setting an email account up to use with your website and have that forward to your personal email. If it gets to spammy, you can then easily remove it and have no problem. Hope I suggested something you can use. =) |

You used the logo that I made!
Using the logo in a publication may have prompted some credit maybe? |

Musta taken a lot of creativity to come up with the name Gamemaker Magazine. /sarcasm
Put a bit more thought into it. Come up with something catchy and nice You need to host it with more than just mediafire. It doesn't cooperate well with my computer, so I'm sure the same happens to others. Try willhostforfood. The layout of the magazine could use some improvement, as well. And, what kind of a word search would you call the one in the mag? This post has been edited by anonymouss: Feb 14 2008, 12:31 AM |

![]() The small image is my logo, the larger one yours. You have obviously messed slightly with the colours (or the pdf messed with the palleting), but that does not make it your own image. Don't get me wrong, I like people using my work. I just like credit as well. I don't appreciate others claiming that my work is their own. Would you like to take back what you sent to me via pm? QUOTE (PM sent by Mattthew_H) Hello scotley
what do you mean you made the logo? i made it, not you, so dont lie. Mattthew_H This post has been edited by Scotley: Feb 14 2008, 01:05 AM |

Dude, this is realy nice. But sometimes it gets realy glitchy, like when my dish doesnt work right.
@Scotly and mathew- Mathew i KNOW for a fact scotly made taht logo. Dont say you did because its 00.01 % chance that you can get it that close. Please give him some credit. That logo must have taken him FOREVER! I just saved his logo, stretched it out, and i got the same as mathews. So mathew, dont be a noob, GIVE HIM SOME CREDIT!!!!!!!!!1 |

Well, for a first, it's not bad, a lot better than most GM Magazine wannabes.
Pros: Decent amount of GM content for the first issue The layout was ok too There was actually a good amount to read The icons and such were good Cons: Could use a lot more GM Content Please, if its a GM magazine, keep it GM only The layout could be a bit neater The WordSearch had no words in it, it was blank (For me at least) The comic was...kind of crappy =\ There were some typos and such Some of the icons looked bad, like the smiley one that looked crushed It was kind of short Again, for a first, it's pretty decent, and I would read another issue no problem, but I suggest recruiting people to help you to make it better and to fix some of those "cons" but other than that, good job. |

Yer right now I'm working on issue 2 so if anyone else wants to help go a head just PM me, But i also thourght that it wasent that great but issue two looks like a completely different magazine, but every magazine has to start out some where.
I added the Empire Earth Artical because i thourght that some people might like to read it. if you think that some of the fonts suck well that is not my fult the converter dident have any of the fonts i used, so it did its best. Any way Issue two should be done some where in march if go's as smothly as the first, but with less work with setting up. Thank you to all the supporting people. Mattthew_H |

Interesting and good for the most part except the background on each page made some of the text hard to read and it seemed generally cluttered. The review page shows these flaws the most. Otherwise it was good!
