In this topic, members wishing to announce their own GM tutorial or example sites may do so.

The GMC Staff will not review these sites or endorse their content, so use them at your own risk. However, if you see posts about sites with offensive or dangerous content, please report that post.

Rules
  • Sites must be primarily GM tutorials or examples -- not games, graphics, forums, etc.
  • Sites must have at least 5 GM tutorials or examples.
  • One post per site (by site owner only).
  • Posts must contain direct link to your site.
  • Do not post just to comment, request tutorials, or ask questions.
In addition, I suggest these guidelines to increase your visitors.

Suggested Guidelines
  • Provide a short description or list of your tutorials/examples (platform or RPG, inventories and menus, physics, etc)
  • Indicate which GM version(s) are used (GM6, GM7, Lite/Pro, etc)
  • Provide some indication of "skill level" (beginner, intermediate, etc) needed to understand the tutorials.
Final Comments
Please remember that all posts will be invisible until a moderator approves them, so don't post twice.
If you find a site that violates the rules above, then report that post. Do not make another post here.

GM @ Destron Media

GM @ Destron Media is a Game Maker resource site that features Examples, Tutorials, Scripts and Extensions. We use the term "Extension" loosely because we started on the site before GM7 was released, so extensions actually can also mean .libs, .dlls or anything else that extends the use of GM.

Our Resources are primarily for 5 & 6 with but they are mostly Studio compatible, and we are working on Studio versions for anything that is not.

Going forward we will have live HTML5 previews whenever possible so you can see what the example does before you download it.

We attempt to have a wide range of resources available for everyone from the beginner to the expert user.

We also strive to have as much Lite content as possible, however if it requires Pro is will say so.

Site has moved, been simplified, and redesigned.

"Digital Worlds (Game Maker)" - http://www.pageflake...useful/22238750 - is a Pageflakes hosted web desktop that contains several Game Maker tutorials that extend the 'official' Game Maker Catch a Clown, Maze and Platform game tutorials.

The tutorials were developed as part of Digital Worlds, an 'uncourse blog experiment' on interactive media and computer game design [ http://digitalworlds.wordpress.com ]

gHelp was a little outdated, so I've uploaded a small selection of the examples to a new site, http://www.davesexamples.com/

Most of the examples were made years ago, so I've dropped them as I would do them differently these days. If you want one made for you, let me know.

Hi everyone,

Though I'd let you know that this site has Video tutorials that might be useful to you. It is a first attempt at video/voice recording so don't be too critical. You can walk through an entire game with a series of tutorials, or you can look at some advanced topics like a shooting gallery, torch light, or Dynamic Asteroids.

The graphics included for tutorial purposes are fairly good.

Clicking the image in my sig will take you to my site where I have 30+ examples for beginner, intermediate and advanced users! Most of them are heavily commented and made with GM7 Pro (although some are now GM8, but I have tried to mark those). They are spread over 4 main themes:

1) Artificial Intelligence
2) Surface Effects
3) Graphic Effects (without surfaces)
4) Miscellaneous (Anything that doesn´t go in the above categories!)

Bookmark the site if you like them because I am constantly adding new examples (as I am constantly making them for people on the Novice forums!!!)...

For those that want to go straight to the pages, here is the direct link...

A gml tutorial

link

Hi there! I have completed a gml tutorial site! It's aim is to teach GML to people who find it difficult or are just starting out. I knew when I first started out I needed as much help as I could get, and reading tutorials certainly helped me. This is the first proper "release" of it and I would love some feedback (you can either send them to me in a PM or go visit this topic. I hope you enjoy it and learn how to program. Good luck and don't forget to have fun!

This site is about games, development, in particular game development, and media. Content I post on this site is made by me,
unless stated otherwise.

I made this site in November 2009 as an alternative to my pre-existing Freewebs site that I made in December 2007, which I shut
down due to the shitty 20-page limit. I’ll use this site as a portfolio, if you will; my development and media projects as well as
games that I publicly release will be put here.

I've posted all my Game Maker stuff on the site, and I'll keep adding more content. There are three sections of this site:
Games, Development, and Media. Games contains my games, Development contains my Game Maker/ActionScript 3.0/C#
examples, tutorials, scripts, and open source projects, and Media contains graphics, sound effects, and music compositions
that I've chosen to release for people to use.

For more information, head over to the site. Just click my logo above.

GMForge is a GameMaker social networking site with many features to host and promote your projects.

GMForge currently will host your Gamemaker projects, examples, turorials and games. Each page you create at GMForge becomes your page, you are the admin of that page and control everything about it. You have full control over:

  • Who can become a fan of your page
  • Who can view fans of your page
  • Who can comment on your page
  • Who can rate your page
  • Who can download files from your page
  • Who can post in your pages forum
  • You can add admins to your pages if you belong to a team and wish to grant permissions to other people.

Note: You can create as many examples, projects, tutorials or game pages as you want. Each type of page you create has the above permissions. These permissions can be changed at any time.

GMForge has many more features for you to explore including:

  • Live Chat
  • Online Games
  • Forums
  • Snippets Database
  • Teams (yes, you can create a team with your friends)

I have several tutorials on my website with many new ones in the works. The majority are for GameMaker 8, but all new ones are for Studio and will have playable HTML5 examples on the page.

Enjoy!
