Discontinued

All my dll's and sources are deleted from my computer.

Introduction:
This is my second DLL wich reads a given length of characters from the internet.
Nothing special, it does the same as the Netread DLL.
It's made with PureBasic.
GM6 and GM7 examples included.
No credits needed!

Discription:
It returns the result as a string.
Screenshot
Example located below.

Argument0 = Website address
Argument1 = Length to read

example:
Variable = inetread(Website,Length);
ip = inetread("http://www.whatismyip.org",30);

your description and screenshot aren't giving me a good idea of what it's capable of.
I'm assuming it reads a website's text...and the amount of text it reads is the second argument. so you have it set up so it reads the first 30 characters on whatismyip.org.

so if I set this up on gmc, it'll take the first text drawn?
seems kind of pointless unless you're going to read from a website with the wanted information at the very beginning of everything, which isn't very likely to happen.

well if this works like netread does im pretty sure you can change that string 30 to any number.. the only problem i have with it is what if you dont know how many characters are on a website or if that number changes dramatically.. i want to beable to read awhole page.. i find this usefull if you have a mmo and have a model that you want to use for a event or some world information.. theres many possiblities.. idk.

Does this return just the document string or do I need to chop out the HTTP headers?

BigB0ss: If you could add functions like get_website_length (the total length of the website) and add a third argument, where the reading should begin. Then this would be pretty good.

It seems to only need 2 arguments.

He quoted me about it:

and add a third argument, where the reading should begin.

I'm VERY sorry to 'bump' a VERY old topic, however I really need this DLL! If anyone has a copy of it or a replacement, please tell me!
