Before I download, could someone please tell me roughly how much space a 5 minute video will take up? Thanks in advance,

Hehe, just found out I had to use the Silent DOS DLL to run a small proggy with command-line arguments.
Now all I have to do, is implementing that DLL, and somehow V2 should work. I don't have time for it at the moment, so don't expect V2 right now... - Fede-lasse |

AWWWW come on, lol.
No really this is almost the perfect app I have seen on the GMC. No really the most usefull, but the quality is quite bad. If you just fix that it is without doubt the best app on the GMC |

Then you don't know the GMC too well.
There's plenty of other apps that's better than this one... Oh, and one problem, I dunno how to use the Silent Dos DLL, so anyone willing to help me out or giving me an example of how to se it would be great - Fede-lasse |

QUOTE (King Killa @ Dec 19 2007, 08:56 PM) Before I download, could someone please tell me roughly how much space a 5 minute video will take up? Thanks in advance, - KK QUOTE (Appolo @ Feb 29 2008, 12:35 AM) No, it would be more like 2.5GB!!! I made a 1 min video and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The file size was 500Mb! considering a regular 1:00min video is around 5Mb that's insane. You have to add a compression thing to it. The quality it comes out with is pixel perfect If you can increase the frame rate and lower the file size this program will be great. |

Spector_Killer:
Couldn't you just change the compression method? (It asks for what kind of compression to use in the proggy) - Fede-lasse |

QUOTE "quick" doesn't mean this was written in five minutes (your right it probably wasn't written in 5 mins, (probably quicker))i hate to sound like a major critic but there isn't much to this, by the looks of it it took about 3 minutes to create. ... it's an extremely simple program that looks like it uses GmCap extension... anyway you should add hotkeys and you should also hide the window while recording. The program also requires task manager to close it. if you haven't recorded a video. This post has been edited by michael pw: Sep 7 2009, 06:32 PM |

I'm well aware of all this. The project is old. Feel free to use it as you wish.

I recommend you clone the windows API(buttons and such)
It's neat, it was quite a bit slow on my machine...since you might not be able to implement features to it why don't you release it as open source? |

Because that I couldn't even care to do so, unless someone is desperate. I've moved on; I don't use GM so much anymore. This explains my extreme inactivity. EDIT: Where did I go from the examples/tutorials section? My usefullness seems to be weaker than simplified engines This post has been edited by Fede-lasse: Sep 19 2009, 10:06 PM |
