Sadly i have not currently finished my first true game but just asking people do you play games that you make very much or do you find that knowing the plot, levels, bosses and shortcuts ruins the replay ability. Maybe some people's games are just made for other people to play im not sure but id be glad to find out.

With all the hours testing and debugging the game, I don't feel inclined to play much more after it's released.

I think playing your own games is lots of fun.

Well, I play my games all through development, so I don't really feel like I need to play it when its done. It's like soup. You test the soup when you are making it, and when you are done you feed it to a restaurant.

Nah, with all the testing and developing, I get sick of my games.

It really depends for me. I don't really care for playing too much after I get done with a game, except in the case that the game can generate different results each time you play (Evolites) or it has some sort of multiplayer component to it (HT3D, AHOVI, Falcon Squad, etc.). This is mostly because battling AI that you programmed isn't always all that exciting because you usually know exactly what it's going to do.

Personally, I play most of my games. But most of the time now I just build tutorials for my program. But I do make them until there challanging even to me. (but then people complain there wwwaaaayyyy to hard.)

Is it possible to make and play MMORPG games like Final Fantasy XI, but with a Christian uniqueness? I'm really eager to learn how to contribute designs and build one. I'm talking - HIGH ADVENTURE! :P

if it's a gamewhere everything is randomly generated, then i would replay it if i made one (like a puzzle game, or a game with randomly generated maps/items).
but if you place everything, code it all, its no fun. you know where everything is, how to do it, so you could complete it fast.

I like playing D-A-N-C-E, me and my family have competitions to see who gets the best score :)

I use my own (currently in development) media player too, but in the way of games D-A-N-C-E is the only one that I really play.

Actually, just last night I went into my old uncompleted games bin for a few quick rounds. I like to go back and play my games once in a while long after their development. Right after I'm done with a game though, it's the last thing I want to play.

I don't normally feel all that inclined to play may games after I make them... but I do go back and play them every once in a while just for the fun.

I go and revisit Asteroids rEVOlution a lot. I keep wanting to make a better version...

The nice thing about giving your game some time before actually playing it again is that you can kind of get the mechanics out of your head and pick it up again fresh like most people do when they first try the game.

I play my games within testing. Then I know what happens in the storyline, what worlds and other things that should be secret. It basicly isn't fun if the creator plays it, unless it is your first game, then you think it is "so amazing" when it is really just like click the clown!

same, it can get tiring testing your game as a developer, let alone your own fan..

As long as I've finished the project, I would better chill off and release it. Then I'd check it out sometime free. :)

I ususally don't play my games after they are finished. I sometimes play my older games just to see how bad they are. :) So far, my count is quiet high.
