Earthworm
Here is a minigame I built for a GMG mini game contest. You play as a small worm that has to eat little things including enemies but don't let the enemies touch your tail. Please leave feedback. This game can be played on Vista. Video Earthworm vid Link Earthworm Excalibur333 This post has been edited by Excalibur333: Sep 21 2007, 02:42 AM |

That was pretty fun game, hope your still working on Deep Magic 2, but back to the game.
It was pretty sweet engine how you made the monsters turn around and run away, the graphics were pretty simple they seemed to fit. I heard only you only has a week but more monsters would have been nice. ;Game Rating; Graphics=[7] Sound Effects=[7] Music/Background Music=[8] Easy-to-use Controls=[10] Originality=[8] Replay Value=[9] Your Overall Game Rating=[8] ;Rating Scale; 0=Very Poor 1-3=Poor 4-6=Average 7-8=Good 9=Very Good 10=Excellent It was pretty much a good overall game, nothing big is lacking. |

Thanks, yes I am still working on Deep Magic 2 but I am having a few problems with a certain spell, arrrrg. Anyway, I found out that I can work on the game some more today so I might add an online highscore system =).

The game looked quite nice and I wonder how you did some of that stuff (especially the elongation of the snake (surfaces probably), but it was a little boring. Can't wait for Deep Magic 2.

Online high score would be nice, I forgot to post this but it was kind boring, once my tail became long it was a fun, seeing as it was more of a challenge.

Actualy I didn't use surfaces, for the dirt I used particles and drew some things over them to make it look like I was using surfaces, the worm getting longer is just like a snake example other than the pieces are very close to gether so that it looks better.

This is a fun and addicting mini-game. I like the music and the sound effects, and the graphics were pleasantly cartoony. However, when you go outside the room, you just keep going. You should make it so that you wrap over to the other side.

QUOTE You should make it so that you wrap over to the other side. I would have but I don't think I can because of the bodyparts of the worm and I couldn't figure out any other way to stop the worm without it looking wierd.Excalibur333 |

I found it fun. Kinda like a remake of snake. Except your a worm...and instead of apples, there little ball things...Nice graphics
An online highscore would be cool, but I'm not that good so I probably won't be to high on it The only problem I had was I went out of the screen... This post has been edited by NintendoTeen: Sep 26 2007, 09:27 PM |

Thanks, I don't know what I can do about the "Going out of the screen" problem without making it look wierd. Thanks for the feedback.
edit: Maybe I could make it so you die when you go out of the screen. Excalibur333 This post has been edited by Excalibur333: Oct 3 2007, 09:31 PM |
