This is a game i have been working on for not very long. My plans are big right now, but at the moment there is only 1 version released.

Anways people with engine seem to get more sprites from the gmc so i might open a graphics request topic for the game.


Also you will NOT be caged in in Clocksey the Snail You will be probably bigger and once agian NOT caged in.

Well, finally after about 1 hour of a non stop headach, i have the basic engine done with clocksey in it =D

There was alot of mask problems at first but thats all solved now

Thing to do before ALPHA is released:

Changing sprites when sloping: 0% (....)

Leaving a trail of slime behind him 0% (that might go in the beta, not the alpha)

and thats about it.

The alpha will just be an empty room, with a few slopes and clocksey. Mainly just a test room. When i get to the beta i might start on levels.

I like to take it slowly so i dont make any huge mistakes :)

You could use the image_angle thing to make Closkey look like he's walking up the slope. :)

GREAT!!! The graphics actually look goot together! :)
And perhaps, maybe.... just maybe... if you set all your sprites under 1 catagory, and the mask in another... and make everything in the non-mask catagory use the image_angle. :) Maybe...

Many many thanks to xerox for the tileset, its just simply amazing and fits right in!

Anyways theres a novice Q&A i just opened for the image angle thingy..

I didn't know snails could climb... or can they? Maybe it's a conspericy, yeah... Maybe there's a sivler snail riding a surf board fling about somewhere... yeah... In fact!!!!!!!!!!! Well he wont really be climing.. just rotating the sprite like 30 degres.. but than agian he might want to be free.. and then again you might all be bored and wanna test the beta. HRMM?!?

Well i guess ill post an ALPHA today or tomarrow.... Dont feel like adding enough features to make it a beta today.

So because im doing this.. dont be to mean if theres a few bugs because its alpha.

Add 2 people in the credits 0% Will take like 15 minutes.. im doing my credits in a whole new way.

Add moving platforms to the test room 0%: Will take under 5 minutes

Release alpha.

Anyways i noticed i put LAR games under programming, not graphics credits... so that will be fixed for next version.

EDIT: Wee, xerox is my first supporter! (check his sig)

Anyways the alpha is nothing big.. you can walk around in an inclosed room, and jump on a few moving platforms.

Bugs :

If you jump right of the vertivle moving platform, i forgot to add some walls up there.

Sometimes you get stuck on the moving platforms

I don't get credit for the jig jig? LOL, jkjk.
Anyway; it's pretty nice but when he goes up and down a slope, might want to cange his sprite or something, or he's like a floaty snail. And having enter for jump is a little more inconvient then space or up arrow.

I actually made that snail from scratch.

Now, back on topic:
The up/down platform is a little buggy. Also, it looks a little weird when the snail goes up and down on the slopes. I hope you'll fix that soon.
It's pretty good though. It's got potential.
Oh, and yes, it would be very funny to see X-orbiter there.

Im fixing the snail up and down slopes right now. That was suppose to be in this version but its not because ive been having alot of difficultys with that..

Debugged the verticle moving platforms
Fixed the hole in the wall.

I really hope i can get the sprites to change when sloping soon....
I can barly understand my code now.... its 200+ lines... filled with local variables, some that i dont know what they do.. I think i should clean it out today, than try the slope thing :D
