It's awesome, but I want to check the serial at start up.
When I do that, it counts it as adding another usage? (Activate app, 2 usages left. Restart app, 1 usage left)

Could you fix that?

Well, as I noticed this is a old topic and I just found it a couple of days ago.

I never had the need for a registration system for my game(s) but I do now.

So I tried out MReg system and after failing a couple of times I have it working.

I altered the Gamemaker example tot do what its supposed to do when a code or name is invalid. It shows then by my game a message that the session wil stop and closes the game.

I think this MReg System is indeed a great tool to register a game. but... Offcourse there is a but... :unsure:

When I start my game the MReg system menu pops up and a user can type in his key and start playing. When he close the game and start it up again, he has to put in his key again.

I tried some things to pass this, because its painfully irritating to put your key in everytime you want to play the game.

Is there a way to save the code and once put it in the menu of the MReg System it will there automatic when you start the game up for the second time?

Maybe someone can help...

I made finally my own server for the use of my own database.

I can log in, the MReg System program logs in to my database. It says its ready but I cant register.

Its needed to register because now, I cant add any program or user.

I get this error when I try to register: Error while registering!

Can someone help me with this.

I did all things correct (I think) otherwise I could not log in on my server.

The problems that I had are solved.

No more errors or other problems.

I hope matt13 is looking in this thread, so maybe he will comencing his work on this great program.

cant wait to see version 4 :rolleyes:

I have PM'ed Matt to see if he still has version 3.5 and that he should upload it to Host-a or something more permanent.

well i have the version 3.5 in mi pc but matt turned off the server.

if you want i can put it in a host to see if someone can connect it

Hey Matt I love your work its truly quality and excellence. My only real "issue" is that if someone planned on using this to sell games there is a lot of "lag" and not from the program, but the process. If someone uses a merchant account/shopping cart they may take the payment, but your program will not know that and will not generate a code (or take a code from a pre-approved list)and email/otherwise notify the customer of the code so they can use it. Even though this is a fairly small issue I would love to this feature added. Keep up the great work!

Your "alternative" isn't really the best tool for registration-it's not hard to hack an INI file on a server, change it, and just make up your own key.

That's prevented by using a password you set through GMech - makes it impossible to edit someone else's INI file. If they set a password, that is.

would this work for making a mmorpg?
also how would i check for a word in a string and replace it before it is drawn for example, if some one were to swear in my game with the f word and i wanted to change it to cucumber?
