In post #15 there is an awsome top donw charecter (48x38) drawn by darchangel this is staying down there till I at least get all 4 views of it edited to a nice organized sheet!

Tell me if this helps or give me some info on how I could make better!

All you really need is the sprite facing one way, GM can handle the rest...but make it with different stances for holding different types of weapons and possibly make it look more like a person...but that is just my opinion.

LOL it is in the shape of a person if you shade it right.......and th code you need to make it different angles is a pro version code only so this allows people without pro to use 8 direction.....and rotating in gm editor messes up the pixels and doesnt look as good as the full out lined one I have up there.......thanks for replying though.....and if you think it doesnt look humanish edit it and send it in and I will add it to the first post.

not sure.....it better be......lol my programer said he needed 8 versions since we didnt have pro (since we got new computers and now waiting for customer support to help us get regestration keys on them been 3 weeks...) lol so he better not have made me do all that work for nothing....evan so it is an evan out template so if you want to change something in one view you can lol just thought I would give it out for free working on an RPG view one now to put on here....might add animations to all them once I get them done.....so think of some ideas and I "might do them" lol.

Really highly doubt it. It's just changing the angle of an image, nothing pro about that ::lmao::

ya guess so look in help file

image_angle The angle with which the sprite is rotated. You specify this in degrees, counterclockwise. A value of 0 indicates no rotation. This variable can only be set in the Pro Edition!

now that that's out of the way need som intell on my sprites!....man is my programer lucky ::lmao::

on the top down version the basic 4 directions look good but arn't the diagonal ones basically the same 2 sprites used twice?.. kindof like a weird right step right step pattern.

Actually, you only need one sprite; just rotate that one sprite to face all directions... did that make sense?

Okay, let's say you only need the facing right one. To make all the others, rotate that right one 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315 in the image editor.

But, it is nice that all of them have already been done; that way you don't have to do all that work! ::lmao::

Wow I really like them! Maybe josh123234234 (watever those numbers are :D ) can use them for Chara-Maker (he plans on getting a topdown template and then being able to make chars with it). Anyways, awesome sheets man.

Cronus2, go ahead you can add them, I'll see if I can make a smaller one. Also would you mind if I make some edits to your rpg templates?

To every one that keeps sugesting rotate the image.....SHUT UP!!!!

Schlynn, be nice...the people who suggested this were only trying to help a spriter from having to do so much work.

@darchangel

Thanks will do when I get all 8 versions in which will be a pain since I am also editing it into a female version. Which in the end adds up to 382 sprites. LOL not including the animations I probly will add later to it.

And go ahead and edit the RPG template the better tha template the better the resource. I am hopeing to get this so there is a great resource for every veiw and every basic size. Plus since I hjave only been spritin gfor about 3 months now this also helps me get use to the charecter design.

and about schlynn......

@schlynn

I asked you to come and put a nice secert bu....I mean check out the topic not to post something rude.....I will deal with you later!

@anyone

Anyone who makes anything for these template, or edits them, should post them here so we can add them to the reference. This includes:

Different head styles
Cloth styles
Editing a pisplaced pixel
and many more!

Also supplying your own template that you made would be usefull to the resource packet! As this is a huge project to do and I too have other projects to work on and would like any help I can get. Thanks In Advance ~Cronus~

I have done over 100 'episodes' of my online comic series "Spr8 Comics".

The characters were originally going to be sprite recolors, but then I found chumbuckets sprite template sheet.

Unfortunately, I want to do more, but I lost the template and want a slightly different look.

You can find my comics here: The Spr8 Comics!

About the top-down templates, I find it awesome :laugh: ! But it'd be way more awesome if you made the walking part a bit more sprites to make it more realistic :sweat: .
