Advanced Time Functions v2.0b
Adv. Time Func. is an extension package with functions for easier use of alarms and new timers that count upwards. No longer do you have to calculate how many steps are in a second, or type in a value *room_speed. There is also a draw function for both. You can also use functions for the Time of Day! 100% Free, No Credit Required (But it won't be refused -_- )
Enjoy, and please leave comments.

Version History:
See complete version history in the help file.
v2.0 September 29th, 2007
  • Added all Time of Day actions and functions.
  • Removed the ability to apply timer actions to other objects, as you can't do that with the initialize and step actions.
  • Bug fix (DnD Action Set Timer to a relative position)
  • Overhauled the Timer system, they now count always in seconds, and can be displayed in formats like alarms.
  • Added the timer_get_real() and timer_get_string() functions.
  • Completely redid the Help File. It is now a .chm file.
  • Added error messages. Now specifying an invalid timer number will give an error, instead of just creating a timer that will never update.
v2.0a October 3rd, 2007
  • Bug fix (GML Functions seconds(), minutes(), and hours() failed to return a value)
v2.0b October 4th, 2007
  • Bug fix (The Bug fix in v2.0a caused a larger problem with the alarm system)

Thanks, it's only a day or so old, and I've already found it incredibly useful. And I only did it because I was bored!

Ey, this is pretty cool actually, no more messing around with *room_speed and calculating how much seconds there are in 3 hours... not that that is that hard but... you get what I mean.

Useful, I'll definitely gonna use it. Should I give some credit?

EDIT: Ah, nvm, didn't read the fine lines ;P I am going to give you some though..
I like it when people do not need credits, that why I give them credit.
And...it's mean but, if some people really push you to credit them, I usually do not. But I didn't say that.

Regards, Geffrey

Little bug. When I set an alarm to minutes, it comes up with an error - apparently you misspelled argument_relative :P

Alright, bug fixed. I wasn't paying close enough attention to where the error was, I looked on the wrong line. ;)

NEW VERSION: v1.2A
August 28th, 2007

EDIT: And sorry for my absence of late, I was on holidays. B)

EDIT2: I'm not sure exactly what you're refering to harvz, when you say seconds is half the speed. Could you elaborate on that for me?

Sorry if this isn't quite right. I know the bump rules on the Novice Q&A say three days, and it's been over that. I'm just not sure what it is on this one, sorry if it should be longer. On to the point:

NEW VERSION: v2.0a
Bug Fix (GML Functions seconds(), minutes(), and hours() failed to return a value)

EDIT:
NEW VERSION: v2.0b
Bug Fix (The Bug Fix in v2.0a in fact caused a larger problem with the alarm system)

Odd - "An error occurred installing the extension package."

Have I done something wrong? That's never happened before when I've installed an extension.

wow... first reply in a long time...

Anyway, back to the problem. I've never seen that either, maybe it was corrupted during the download. I would re-download and try again, if it still doesn't work I'll try to have a look at it. Although, I may get the mods to close this until I have time to rework it anyway.

Dw about it, it was a problem my end rather then with the extension itself, it's a problem with running GM7 on Vista apparently lol. Damn Vista, I knew I should have kept my XP.
