Hey, I'm working on a game right now and I want to have music in it, but I'm not sure what I'd like quite yet, but once I figure that out I'll get back to you. By the way, nice piece, you've got talent.

Sweet! You set up a request topic! I'll bookmark this page, and when my game is finished (which will probably take quite a while) I will put in requests. Of course it would depend on whether or not I finish it, but I'm hoping I will. There are a few places in the game which would probably require this sort of music.

Hmm you are by far the most profesional music composer around here, why is no one requesting music haha. I think some people might feel like their games are too bad or something.

Anyway love the example you provided, makes me wanna have a project, just so it can have your music in it!

Maybe in the future?

Yeah, scare them off! ^^
Now that this raymondguy joined the forum I have the feeling that composers have nothing to do today. Why should some highly educated guy spend his time by making music for simple freeware games that will probably never reach more than 20 people? You know, this fact really crushes all my hopes of earning music as a composer. ^^

That's a little harsh, with a little bit of effort you can reach a lot of people really. For example, Gnarly, the skate game I'm working on. The demo we released has been downloaded over 1000 times within 10 days.
It's all about presentation and promotion.

I know that there GM games being played by thousands of players (for example Easter Avenger). But now check: How many Easter Avenger-like games have been there? In my opinion it's still the GM game with the highest quality and seriously: All the really impressive projects have just never been finished! (including mine ^^)

Yeah sorry, it's my dumb way of expressing how much I got disappointed so far. I've made nearly 20 tracks for games that have never been finished.
Hey, it would be great if I could at least make the main theme for an online pong game as long as it gets released!

Okay, I'll keep my mouth shut now...

Hi! I was playing your game, Beer Bottle Tetris, and I noticed it didn't have any music. I happen to be a composer at the GMC and was wondering if you'd be interested in having me compose some music for Beer Bottle Tetris; I think it'd add to the game and I'd be happy to do it. My composition topic can be found here.

Sincerely,
Ben Tibbetts

Yes, that game is sorely lacking music and it would be great if you made some for it. I am looking for something about a minute long (not too fussed about the length) and loopable. I am looking for something that's easy to listen to and would you would classify as a "beer song". Interested to see what you come up with and looking forward to working with you, I am planning to make Lethal Pong 2 to which would need some more original tracks instead of the one ripped one I had on it. This seems like it would be a very useful service.

How about this?

File: BeerBottleTetris1.mid
Length: 1 minute (1:00)
Instrumentation: Old piano and Ukelele
Loopable: Yes.

I tried playing it while running your game and found the sound effects to be very loud when combined with the music. I recommend turning your wav files down a few notches in volume but if you'd prefer not I could change my music so maybe it'd match better.
