Hello, I'm proud today to present you my new game or atleast a part of it. I've never completed any game exept a small arcade one. Well, one of the main reason I never completed a game before is that I never had the courage, probably because noone was giving attentions to my game. So today I'm giving me the force to finish it. Hope you guys will give me some. Well so far this game is an early W.I.P, it contains a very nice engine, I think everything is pretty smooth and have no bugs exept for the HMMMM one but I finally fixed it in the non-released version.

GM060.gifPoll: What do you prefer?
Stealth Game: Getting importance to when you reload, not always jump and stay hided so the enemy comes and then you assassinate him. A head shot would kill one shot. About five body hits would kill, exept if you got an armor as well.
Action Game: Jump everywhere and shot, run and kill, hide to reload then run. Always throwing nade. You can take hit, but nades would kill you one hit!

Result:
Stealth - 1 vote (50%)
Action - 0 vote (0%)
Mixed - 1 vote (50%)

Personnally I would make a game that mixes the two. I won't tell you now how this is possible but, it's going to work with the campaigns!

Pretty good engine so far. Nice AI, weapons are nice too. But you should add some more gameplay. I'm looking forward to see this game updates.

P.S: I got a message saying Hmmm and then other saying 2? What do they mean?

Nice, it was for debugging and telling me when there is some bugs. The Hmmm means that the enemy ran outside the map. I'm trying to work on this but I can't know why he do this!

Well thank you for posting, as well this is an engine, the gameplay will come after. I'll edit my first post and ask you guys if you prefer fast aciton paced of stealth, alot of life with armor or head shot kill!

EDIT: But the '2' message, I simply forget to subtract it, could you tell me what you did for this message?

EDIT2: Nvm the '2' message is okay. I'll leave these here so you guys can report it to me.

Nice, but when you you go to the left side of the enemy, the enemy continues to the rigth, and then stop at the wall

This demo was really fun. I'm sure you could succesfully mix stealth and action. Definately continue the game and add some backround and some objects maybe that you can interact with i.e. explosive barrels and stuff.

@AcousticLime Hey, thank you for your support, yeah barrels and stuff like that would be a very nice idea, thank you for your suggestion. as I think about it, barrels would add strategy! Nice!

@Zccc Well, maybe you could tell me exactly what happened because I tried like 20 times to do what you said and they always do what I want to do. Well thank you for posting though! Happy that you loved my engine.

I have a feeling if you make it ZIP instead of RAR you'll get more downloads. I'll try this out once I get a few minutes but it looks really cool.

Very solid demo so far.
Of course, The background will come later and such, and engine wise it was very smooth.

The guys are very smart, with hiding and then popping off some shots every now and then.

Animations are great, smooth and interesting to the eye.
Although, I can't seem to kill the enemies with the knife.

I would stab them at least 5 times before dying, I would see blood splurting out, so I knew I was hitting him.

Good job, keep it up. :)

@Alex Muncatchy Hey glad you loved it. Finally someone that say my engine is solid :) . I worked days on it. And I made the animations myself, I'm so proud. They were pretty easy to make. Lol crouch animation is done with code so far. Dying as well is done with some physics! Nvm for the stabbing bug, it may be because the player has already see you. To stab him and kill him one shot you got to attack him in his back before he see you for the first time! Try it again and tell me news :wacko: . Well thank you for your support.

Thats kind of weird.

I mean, when you have a knife, you should be able to kill him regardless of being spotted or not.

Its like being spotted while playing splinter cell, and not being able to use the gun.


If you are going to have like that then, eliminate the damage/blood splurting if you are in front of him because I thought from the way I was stabbing him over and over, he would be in about 6 pieces.

@Alex Muncatchy Yeah, but in that beta the first enemy have alot of life though. Secondly always first shot killing by stabbing him would be way too easy, I think. But I could change it at anytime. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll take care of it :medieval:

@cred13 There may be something wrong with your computer OR you haven't extracted everything well OR you deleted something.

@jce108 Well first of all thank you, the ragdolls were done with gmphysics, nothing hard I think. Secondly the A.I. was patience time and experience :o!

@DNV Yeah, I'll upload it somewhere else. Have you tried both .RAR and .ZIP link. Oryou can try again it may be cause 64digits were down when you was trying to download it!

Hey guys, long time no post, I would like to see more interest about this game, I've stopped it so far but I'll probably continue it with more interest!

Another thing I need is some suggestion... Should I make like different stage where enemies spawn and you have to kill the most possible or a long campaign (Wich will take time, effort and I don't think I'll have the courage to do this)

Whoops, I'm sorry I posted but this is important, I'd like to kill an enemy so can you please put a different key than scroll wheel for weapon change? Say, Q and E? And use a different thing for keep breath? Thanks!

i liked the instant bullets
and the ai was impressive

ive got a few suggestions..

i think the grenades should use gmphysics
i think the overall speed of the game was kind of slow

@ -{Niwo}- Hmmm, I really don't think the problem is my game, I'm not good with that sort of problem... I said you were running GM in secure mode... I don't know...

@ kilroy1501 Hey, yeah I've worked alot of the A.I. so... Thanks. You think my grenades engine isn't realistic? Well I though it was okay. Secondly could you explain more about the speed of the game... I don't understand how it can be slow.

I REALLY want to make a mmofrpg (F for fighting, like street fighter style)

your ai might be good for it, at least for the gunz in it XD

I reckon you should make a long campaign for your game. Im doing so with a platformer I am making (I have only made 3 levels but it takes me a while to complete them). If your going to do so you are going to need a LOT of patience. I have played my levels literally 100 times each! Unfortunately the AI in my game isnt that good (although currently there is only flying bombs, bomb dispensers, sentry guns, hoverbots and armoured fighters for enemies currently, and they have hardly any AI)

As for the Poll. I vote for stealth. I made a different platformer at school which used a sound and sight system (although imperfect), and it was quite fun having to avoid the light and avoid shooting if possible (as well as sprinting).

Dont bother looking for either of those games cause they aint out (yet).

All in all keep it up :D

ROFL, my bad. Should be working now

 

EDIT: I just realised these two does not work on either windows vista or windows 8... And it is a gm6 file, no way I make it compatible for studio... I give up :(
