do you know how the actual minesweeper game works?

its not just guessing where the bombs are hoping you dont touch one, there are supposed to be numbers indicating the number of bombs around that certain area, maybe read the help file for the game, then youll get a better feel of how it works

That'd be like making a GM "Smash Bros." and it really being a short minigame where you play Whack-a-mole.

Yeah, I made a Minesweeper game with Pascal. If you can make it in Pascal, you can make it in anything.
