Platform Engine

Info:
Version 2:
Added some new stuff in this version including:
•Telaprters
•Key and lock
•An HUD
•Way better graphics. (BIG thanks to Infiltration Gaming)

Version 1:
I started work on a simple platform engine to see if I could code one about a week ago and
well here it is. It has very simple graphics and uses mostly just black and white
because...well I don't really know, I think it looks good.
It has a number of features including:
•Very smooth physics.
•One-way blocks.
•Color changing balls and colored blocks.
•Disappearing blocks.
•Slanted blocks.
•Save-point system.
•Spikes.
•Springs.
•Switches and switch blocks.
•Every single object is fully commented.

If you have any more suggestions for anything else you want me to put into it, just tell me and I'll do my best. :skull:

Make an unregistered version where you replace the code about image_blend to four different subimages in the player sprite.

Just upload an exe too and you get rid of unregistered users or at least put a comment in your first post "does not work if you don't have money to register".

Thanks everyone!
Infiltration Gaming:
Go right ahead if you want to, I'll probably use 'em.

MegaNoob:
Wow that's quite a complement thanks. ^_^

I'm working on more new objects to put in, so far I have:
•Appear Blocks--You touch it and then when you aren't touching it anymore a block appears.
•Key and Lock--You can pick up any amount of keys and it records them in a variable and you can use them to open lock blocks.
•Telaporters--Pretty basic, you touch it and it telaports you to the corresponding color of dot.

If anyone else has suggestions keep them coming in, I'm willing to try to code anything.

Alert Games:
I got an old version of the Ack-Ack engine from someone on a forum and I stripped it of everything but the player's step event and built a platformer engine around that. Then I thought it wouldn't be too hard to make it my own so I opened up a blank game and made the ball sprite (you know that blue ball with the question mark that shows up in a room when you place an object with no sprite? Look familiar?) and went into the step event and started typing. So yes the original idea was from the Ack-Ack engine but I coded it myself and I wouldent call that stealing.

Infiltration Gaming:
Thanks a ton, it looks awsome!

I just don't like change, Yoyogames (mainly because of the annoying name), and the "k" at the end of the file extension. And the new reg system.

Very good engine! Just one thing, when the ball you control goes on a slope, he is sort of 'floating' a bit. I challenge you to improve the physics so that the ball is actually touching the slope! <_<

Apart from that, your engine is great, so good job.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I appreiate it.
As for fenwaydog, I have tryed ice slipping before (actually I will very soon be releasing Bombs Away! (see sig) and it has some ice in the arctic levels) and I can get it to work, but the way I do it just seems buggy to me so I don't want to put into my engine anything less-than-perfect.
