Maybe you should set it to the real weather in an optional area.  EX: Because Bejing has rain it will be set to rain in the game.

I think that would be neat!  P.S. Be ready for the Sun. B)

He meant live data, I think. I was pondering whether or not to port my WeatherBug live weather API into a GM DLL or GML, and it only does an HTTP request using a zip code. I could modify it to use international so that you could use Beijing, for example.

Just a thought...

Purely going on your screenies, if you made clouds slightly alpha'ed they might look vastly better ... If you felt like making a registered version, that is.

that has been mentioned to me before (the clouds)and ive tried to use image_alpha(), but for some wierd reason, it never works for me!
if you do fix that somehow please pm me how you did it.

image_alpha is a variable.

But that only affects the sprite drawn by the default draw event - you want draw_set_alpha() for drawing anything but sprites.

To draw a sprite with alpha you just use draw_sprite_ext() instead of draw_sprite()

Why do you use afro hair as clouds???
I might do some good clouds for you later. I'm too busy now.

@purple pixie
i know its a variable, but it can still be used to draw something with alpha

@solidsnake
*laughing* ya, i guess the clouds do look like a bad hair afro, and if you could get something better, that would be great!

thanks for all the replies!

Maybe you could add a day/night engine. it would make the lib pretty complete.

i already have made a night/day engine, though i may put it in this lib as well.
here is the link to the other lib until i can get it in to this one:Timer Lib
i dont know how long it will take, it some code might be entangled with the timer lib.

Update!

I added that day/night engine from my other lib, and i made sure it worked for all hours after a little adjustment

Hope you enjoy and can use this one, its a favorite idea of mine and a great addition to most games
