Seriously, the game is a great arcade style game.

Great game.
I froze my hp to see what kind of enemies I would get. The aliens where very cool <_< But those ufo's, do they 1HKO you? I had froze my hp at 100 and still it killed me...

Great game, 9.9/10 (for me, the perfect game doesn't exists, but it can come very close :( )

Wow, this is a brilliant game, it does have an uncanny resemblence to my Killer Worm series of games (To the point that I was very suprised), but the concept was executed alot better.

Congrats. :P

Brilliant game. One of the few that has kept a place on my computer for weeks. Excellent work, and provides the fun of comparing scores against friends scores. My maximum meat happens to be 1,300,000. Nice choice of music, by the way!

Score: 816
The worm got pretty big. I'm glad there's a new version of the first game (cause the one that was supposed to be Death Worm 2 was disappointment). I like the improvements, rocks, growing, more alien things... It's pretty hard to get to the aliens though. I've been playing the first game and got addicted, now I tried this update and got addicted again. Sure, the worm can literally "fly" without reaching the ground at all, which actually helps sometimes. I like this game alot.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Death Worm 2? By who? Where? I've only had one DW-topic in the "Work in Progress" section, and this one in here.
Thanks for the replies, everyone. Glad you liked the game!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Actually he is refering to my Killer Worm game it seems, I was very confused when I got his post in my thread awhile back, as it said that the control scheme was extremely limited to Killer Worm 1, whereas killer Worm 1 had absolutely no control compared to Killer Worm 2.
Now it all makes sense. ^_^

It seems that it would be rather easy to mistake the 2.

Ablach Blackrat Thanks! That's amazing news!

And thanks to all of you for your comments and support.

Unc1354m Holy cow! Now I can see what the confusion was about. Anyway, I found the first Killer Worm some months ago from a different site, and thought it had a cool atmosphere. I got to try that second one soon.

My only suggestion would be to make the rocks blow up the mines if you throw them onto them.

by points i ment meat. I have recently got my meat up to into the 578,105. Score of around 2,600. Its pretty much impossible to get past that due to the vast amount of underground bombs that come. Seriously, there were times where there was only one or two free spots.

I don´t know what happens to my account when i say this, but... yeah... Although, it´s not completely finished yet. (still needs a few fixes, and those stupid adds has to be removed) As soon as i upgrade to pro (not very expensive), everything will get SUPERB! You can, for example, hold 1000 PM´s in your inbox, instead of 100. (and much more... I just don´t have time to write it here!)

From what I read, it seems that he originally had doubts about downloading the game due to lack of screenshots, but curiosity got the better of him. :(

Giant worms killing things appears to be the in thing at the moment. :)

Oh my God, this is possibly the most fun Game Maker game I've every played. How can hovering a giant man-eating worm over the desert be so awesome?

Great concept, intuitive game play, bizarrely appropriate music, and immensely satisfyingly fluid worm movements (how many subimages did you have for each segment??), this is masterfully done!

I'm going to go watch Tremors again, then read Dune.

Im posting a third time this is so good. 3 reasons:

1) Bug report
2) A suggestion
3) Best score ever - with screenshots

Bugs

This was found out when i just left the worm in the starting position and went to the loo. Basically, if your worm stays in 1 set area of the screen the track objects don't vanish, meaning it will lag after a wile - it seems they only dissapear when out the view so when i moved on the lag went.

If an object sees you just as you enter the ground it will keep playing its fire animation and stay still - no bullets coming out. Just a sprite_index error.

Suggestions

Some suggestions:

>Needs somthing else after aliens, or an alien tank (eg a robot or somthing). The underground bombs kept me on my toes but i really would like to see a digger or a robot or somthing.

>No easter egg at 5k points (1 million meat). Oh well.

>Customiseable music (eg load the music from an external file, and allow users to change this file). THis should be seasy to implement.

>Customiseable worm colour. This should be fairly simple to implement.

>Online highscores.

My score:

Ok, i survived the "wipe everything out stage" and it just got dam hard after that, great fun getting to the million mark, though i dont think ill be trying it again for a while ^_^.

Worm size:
Posted Image

Final score:
Posted Image

I had full hp just before i took the screenshot but a narrow escape from a triple whammy mine left me on the hp in hte top screenshot. THe final one i was effectivly trapped between, a mine and well, 10 others. Great fun, great game. This is one of the few gm games i will be keeping on my hard drive. I've played through it loads now, its still so fun.

Great game. The music is terrific and really makes you feel like you're playing as a monster of death in the desert. The dark view mode is even better.

Online high scores would be a great addition to this.
