I agree with eman. This game is very sell worthy. It's now my favorite gm game (wubly was my favorite). 10/10. Very fun, but a growth mechanism would add to awesomeness of this already perfect game. Bravo.
There IS a growth mechanism, it's just very subtle.

Yup there definately is a growth system
I admire this game but after reaching that many points I got bored and comitted suicide by eating an ufo. Yummy.
There should be more stuff going on after reaching more than 2000 points.
Living forever shouldn't be possible like that!
Either have one UBERENEMY that instantly kills you if you hit its (very hard to dodge) shots and have more of them appear if you reach 2000 points (the ufos are too easy to dodge) and have more of them appear over time or make the game beatable instead of putting the player into the misery of a neverending game.
The game could end if you grow to a certain size or a final boss could appear.

It fits the classic Atari collection very well(with highly improved graphics as well).
P.S. I don't know if you included them in your game because I haven't played as far as some players, but morter fire at different levels in the air would increase the difficulty in the later levels very well.

I absolutely love this game -It's about the only gm game I actually play regularly- but I agree that more stuff should've happened after 2000. Might I suggest a mass-bombing with those underground bombs (preferably something else though, as you can dodge those bombs by going under them) that forces you to jump up out of the ground. Besides that, however, I must admit I have no suggestions.
Also, although you probably won't know what I'm talking about here, I think it would be cool to have a Dune version, where the planes are Atreides ornithopters, the tanks are harvesters or somesuch, the soldiers are Fremen, and the worm is a Sandworm (obviously).
And lastly, I agree that this game could make some money, but I'd prefer if it had more material past the aliens. And it would be nice to have more worm-health-things. Perhaps they could appear more often when your lower on health?
Edit- Oh, and after a certain point, you could stop adding new stuff and just somehow program it to, say, drop more and more bombs to automatically increase the difficulty over time.

It's really an original and funny aproach to the arcade genre. And it does wonders as a stress-reliever. Nothing satisfies a tired mind more than controlling a colossal worm of death and wreaking havoc amongst the innocent

you get out of the ground at a 35 degree angle (from the ground), and then when you're high enough to fly, but still eat people from the ground (not high at all), you press Right until you're in a slightly higher-from-horizontal angle, and then you hold left for the rest of the ride.
it's just awesome, you can even go forever like that and don't fall (not scientifically proven, i bumped into a little boundary at the end of the road)

Nice game! Simple carnage is always fun... and who knew worms could do it so well?
I like the controls and the enemies. In fact, as far as the basic gameplay is concerned, I wouldn't change anything. But I think it could use a little something more, though. Perhaps growth, as some have suggested. Maybe different terrain (rocky ground, mountains, water, ice...), and some kind of goal or mission, instead of just steadily increasing difficulty (which I also thought was good).

Also, you should put prompt in the first post that states that there is a growth mechanism. That way people will know as soon as they start playing and stop suggesting it.
I do agree with freshrod. There should definitely be goals and levels. For example "eat x amount of meat and go on to the next level. Further levels could have handicaps like weather or something. Please don't stop making this game better. It's close to perfect, but just not there yet. You have an excellent engine, concept, and layout. There just needs to be more to do, so that people that play the game will be motivated to keep playing (as if they already weren't haha ).
Anyway, Death Worm is still a superb game and still my favorite gm game. I give you a 9 with high potential of being a 10/10 You deserve it.

Sound effects: Realistic, in all the right places, no faults. 10/10.
Music: Better than most of the stuff I hear. 9.5/10.
Graphics: Amazing, especially the main menu background. 9.5/10.
Gameplay: Great fun, but there's no storyline, and the other worms are a bit annoying. 9/10.
Overall Rating: 9.5/10.
That's the leader so far! Best Game I've rated with this system!

The worm got pretty big. I'm glad there's a new version of the first game (cause the one that was supposed to be Death Worm 2 was disappointment). I like the improvements, rocks, growing, more alien things... It's pretty hard to get to the aliens though. I've been playing the first game and got addicted, now I tried this update and got addicted again. Sure, the worm can literally "fly" without reaching the ground at all, which actually helps sometimes. I like this game alot.
