Wow h0bbel, you've been banging out DLLs here there and everywhere! Finally a DLL with the ability to write ID3v2 tags.

Very nice work. I'll give it a test in a mo'.

The example doesn't seem to work for all my files. I've tried opening a few mp3 files with it, results were like this:

Shouldn't I have opened an .mp3 file, but some sort of seperate ID3 file then? The ID3 tag of this file was written originally by WinAmp. It's probably decodable I think by the way.

Did you try to switch reading between v1 and v2 ?

That file contained both v1 and v2.

After you said that, I went creating two files, one for ID3v1, one for ID3v2. With the example, it did fine on the ID3v1, except for one little thing: the genre. It gave (18) in stead of Techno. Did you know that the Genre in ID3v1 is stored as an ID?
Then I tested the ID3v2 file, which gave wierd results again. So I tried searching in the example file for how to switch, without results. Then (after I posted this, this is an edit), I found in the help file how :). I changed the appropriate line to ID3_Open (CurrentFile,0); I tested the double file without result. Switched to 1, tested the v1 file with wierd results. Switched to 2, tested the v2 file without results.

I couldn't get it to read the ID3v2 data, nor files that contain both, I guess I'll stick to your competition then :D.

Would be nice, but you apparently can't open more than one file for reading.

I tried opening one, and got the correct results. Then, when I tried opening a second one (my own GM6, mind you, with the scripts imported and the DLLs in the directory), all the results for all the functions were the artist of the last file I had opened.

For example:

File 1: "Hello, Goodbye" by the Beatles. Both read correctly.

File 2: "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. Everything (title, artist comment, etc.) read as "The Beatles".

??

-IMP :D -_-
