It gets some work to install this game, but it's worth it.

The game is simply amazing. Graphics are decent and fitting rasta theme. Music is fantastic if you like reggae and the athmosphere... it's just perfect.

Certainly one of the most original and athmospheric games I've ever played.

However I would also recommend putting all files together and posting them on a better host - like 64Digits.com or something.

Am I gonna download a 30MB file?
No mon! (Poor attempt at a Jamaican accent)

I looked at the file sizes of the .rars and, as I suspected, the .rar destined for the "miusik" folder (shouldn't that be "music") is the largest file. You really should either leave out the music or only have a very low quality/shorter version in the demo. I mean its 27MB out of a 30MB game!

I'll have to defend the creator of this game. Music is perhaps the most important part of the whole game - removing it would cause too much hit on the theme.

Usually I do not download such huge games, but this one was worth it. Game has high quality graphics and loads of good reggae tunes - the space is not wasted - it's actually a mark of quality in this particular case.

as TeeGee says - I can't imagin Rasta game without Rasta music. Songs aren't random, both music and the game are about the same things.
And "Miusik" shoudn't be "music", that's just a folder man, chill out :)

I dunno why people don't want to DL this game. Is it all for the sake of it's size?

Too bad - it's such an original and impressive game :). I guess it's one of the most atmospheric games made on GM and people don''t want to even play it.

I can imagine that for modem users it might be hell - but I guess that more than 75% here has a broadband and getting this game would be only a matter of minutes.

Well - maybe SoulJah will get more attention after it will be actually finished. After all Ark22 has about 25mb in size and it's still very popular on this board.

Is there some sort of gravitational pull to topics that haven't been posted in for more than a year or is it just me?

It's called the n00b effect.
