heh heh um...
I nearly forgot this topic.
But do not fret I have a newer and improved battle/text engine + a Trade system and even the NPC system is done (*phew*) but with me being the head programmer for Pokemon Platinum I dunno if I can release until v2 of Platinum is done.

heh heh um...
I nearly forgot this topic.
But do not fret I have a newer and improved battle/text engine + a Trade system and even the NPC system is done (*phew*) but with me being the head programmer for Pokemon Platinum I dunno if I can release until v2 of Platinum is done.

Heh, I see why.

The battle system is really bad, to be honest with you. The text is too big. It doesn't have gradual hp lowering. You should also comment your code if this is open source - that's if you don't want it to turn out to be as messy as sar's Pokemon open-source engine.

you put in the first post Registered required for battle engine, actually the battle engine doesn't require registered.

Its very similar to the original games bag system and even includes comments on how to inter-grate it into your game!

Oh, its pretty decent! I suggest adding a few items though for showing in an example :). I might contribute a bit to this topic, me and a few others are working on a full pokedex. (Oh and PM me if by the random chance you want to help, many hands make light work ::lmao::) Its very decent, but not nearly complete.

Not to burst your bubble (I hope I did not! :chikin) I have a fully functioning Pokedex with all the pokemon up to Ho-Oh (actually Sceptile but meh)
But if you can make a dex that causes no lag then please go ahead and do so and if you want post it here after all its for the newbs/noobs.

Yeah, this one is designed to have no lag (or rather less), and go up to ALL the pokemon.

We have about 150 at the moment, but most of it is done for layout etc. The battle system needs a bit off work though, and did you post your pokedex? I'd like to look at it.

The Pokengine is encrypted and I have trouble with it at the best of times.

Thanks, I try my hardest!

Um I have GM6/GM7 Pokemon engine to get people started but it is styled for the Red,Blue,Yellow games, it has the textbox, movement, basic battles, NPC's all in it I just have to touch it up a tad.

I have one, but if you use 251 Pokemon in it then it lags when you get half way down the list...

For some reason, I like this more than any pokemon example i've ever seen.

I remember back in '06. The first game I ever tried making was a pokemon game. My ideas for it were incredible, I had an entire team to program it. We failed. lol
