Hey I was trying to use the Xtreme 3d dll and I am having trouble. When I export a 3ds from Autodesk Maya the textures wont load in Xtreme 3d. What could be causing this? I even opened a model that was working in Xtreme 3d in maya, then re-exported it an once again, the textures were gone. :mellow:

The project was dead, discontinued, and so on.
But because you don't stop posting about it I decided to continue it.
I don't have much time but I do everything I can for my GMC members.


I would pay you if a very good documentation was made by you for every single function in this latest version that works with GM.
I love it, but I am not sure what half the functions do lol. The file formats that the engine supports are great, and I think with good documentation this would be a very useful engine...and many more would use it.

This LOOKS like a great 3D engine, but I have no idea how to use it!

Can anyone give me give a tutorial or something to point me in the right direction?
It would have been easier if the manual was good :)

Great tutorials. Very detailed and easy to understand, but i can't see my model from the third tutorial :)

I'm trying to integrate the X6 example into my game, and changed the scripts to work with Xtreme3D 2.0.2.0, but now I get "unknown variable camPos" whenever I load the room containing the engine and camera objects.

Any ideas as to what may be the cause?

If you're a n00b with coding, then don't try using this. It's very specific on the order in which you create things. If you're not specific, everything will just go to hell.

And even if you want to learn this nobody is going to help you since its way to messy to learn without any docs and it has been abundant by its
developer(s).

I have an ATi 9800 Pro, so that shouldn't be a problem. Drivers are pretty damn outdated though. What you said about an intergrated processor, that is probably it.

Blur effects fill up the video memory like crazy, so I think its more of a memory problem then your chipset not supporting render-to-texture.

Yay, bad english... pak editor is included ('Tools' folder).

Good luck. This thing has been dead for pretty much forever. Either learn C++ and Irrlicht or use Game Maker's D3D or check out Ultimate 3D. I would start with the non-GM language if I were you. Python could be a good place to go.

Oke... I was try something...
After some time I was found exelent documentation ( on rusian language) and wery good examples on same language...
That man's was work wery hard... Thanks to CLOCKTOWER games... From Rusia if I am not wrong , and everybodu else... Xception, Shaltif, and manu manu others who wrote DLL's.
All of them is on the credits... sorry if I miss someone.

This my work is only update... but try...

Main Idea is to make LEVEL editor... I have same good results... see them... on my FB page

How this work?
PLEASE START " LOAD" and choose some of the predefined levels... " level1.lvl" is default level.

moving around is standard " WASD" + mouse and "QE" alternative for mouse...

F2: change possition of camera ( behind you / in your head )

EDIT MOD ON/OFF: F3
To select Object for editing CTRL + MBL( mouse left button), just shut object.
You will see ID and name of the selected object on the INFO WINDOW.
To MOve selected object Arows + 0 and 1 from numeric part od keyboard
To scale selected object 7 from numeric part od keyboard
To rotate selected object 8 from numeric part od keyboard
To change direction of scalling and rotation 5 from numeric part od keyboard

To OPEN TOOL WINDOW : CTRL + S
if is this window out from focus call him back with same combination CTRL +S
If is this tool window out of focus, or is open, your mooving is DISABLED
You can move around only if is this tool window closed ( Down right button "X" )

If you have enemy's on the level, and if you shut down EDIT MOD, they will atack you :)


You will got GAME engine for next few days...
I need some help with AI for enemy... you will see why :)

Nothing else much to say. Well if you intent to make any future/ upcoming projects I recommend you switching to gmogre3d.

If you refer to Xception course it's an excellent machine, that there would not have even tried something in it.

However, I need help to get on with their work.
Since I do all alone, I need help with AI enemies, and every new idea is welcome.
