RGBColor Picker

is a simple tool that can be used to get virtually any color available on your system and use it in GM. This tool includes...
1) 256 color choices (0-255)
2) Red Green and Blue visualization
3) Export Button to save the color code to the clipboard

What is the use of this? Well it started as a tool I used when I was messing with the drawing functions in Game Maker. I got tired of the 18 preset colors in Game Maker. I was wondering how to utilize all of the system colors and it finally hit me. Why not make a custom color picker.

I do not know if this will help anyone but I hope it will =)

One of the most common uses of drawing colors in Game Maker...
draw_set_color(color)

Hmm. I have been devoloping such program as yours for a very long time.
To be specificly, I'm already busy with version 3.0 now.
To speak of copyright violation is far too harsh,
since my Color2Code program is private, and was never published.
So I guess I'd have to see you as 'concurrency'.
Altough version 3.0 of my program goes a little bit farther then your program does.

Well,good luck with your program.

It's hardly a complicated concept. IIRC there's a color picker example in the tutorials forum somewhere, freely available. People are so silly about 'You had an idea vaguely like mine!' sometimes... :)

yea many people have used this same style more or less in their games. It's not somthing you can "copyright" so really it's noting special.

I was wondering how to utilize all 256 colors and it finally hit me.

256 colors? there are many more than that. 65536 to be exact =P.

Overall this is pretty useless.
I'll stick to using make_color_rgb(r, g, b) and make_color_hsl(h, s, l).
