Please note that not all of these are freeware. Also note that most are not royalty-free, so you'll most likely have to give credit if you use the sounds. Check the site for more legal information.

Add to this if you wish, but please don't post doubles. And please only post your own site if it has significant resources.

http://remix.kwed.org/ <-- Ub3r 1337 /\/\0haxx10 site. Tons of remixes of classic c64 songs. If you download anything, download the remix of Comic Bakery by Instant Remedy. I've been listening to it non-stop for the past 2 hours (No I am not insane, retro c64 music is ownzerificationizer)

I found a great game music site: http://www.music4games.net

If you like the music from a game, look it up there and they are bound to have it. :)

Now I don't know if this was already being mentioned, but for the more experienced music makers, this is a huge list of things relevant to music making (like music theory, scales, modes, harmony, ...)
http://www.rangeraudio.com/music.htm

then, this one is entitled "learn to compose music"
http://www.composerp...n/wiki.cgi?Home

this is an excellent article about writing adventure game music, it's really helpful in my eyes, and also some of the tips can be relevant for other music types:
http://screen7.adven...ingamemusic.htm

The reason I postet this, is, because the "tutorials" section only had one entry, and I think, that knowing how to compose music is more important than knowing what to use to compose the music...

hello every1 <_<

I have found a new midi search machine on the web:

midispider.com

Right now there are over 4'200 midis in their database. And it seems that the number grows daily. Hehe, I am curious when they will break the 10 thousands. In few weeks? :o

Excellent Commercial MP3's from popular artists

Due to a mass of wacky technicalities, in Russia you can gett all of those MP3's for 10 cents. All you do is clcik the preview "speker" button to preview it. Then while it's playing, click "save as" or "save media as" and bam! Your "preview" is not a preview anymore.
