QUOTE (warrior @ Jul 28 2006, 01:13 AM)
Well I never said which lalaland but you just did.
In lala land 2 you collect gold and you give it to te fish, when you're done collecting the gold it says "oh no how will the nobles survive?" in this one you collect wool and at the end it has a different message and the styles are the same. Its the same thing, its like comparing jawbrakers by on-line systems with pacman.
*

And like I said, I did not notice it was like that until now. The style of the game may be the same, but I have a reason for it.

First off, this game is not a fangame or an inspiration of the La La Lands. It was triggered by La La Land 5. Note the word triggered as in made because. I did the same style of gaming for a reason, because such fit what I was trying to do.

QUOTE (jls900 @ Jul 28 2006, 05:47 PM)
yeah this is a complete copy off the la la lands, only la la lands are so much deeper...to those who think this is original, you should play the la la  land games on gamemakergames.com
*

Not a complete copy. Apparently, you aren't paying attention to the details. La La Land 2 is diffrent. It has beggining, a center which is identical and makes up most of the game, and an ending. Ba Ba Black Sheep changes each time through it, if you haven't noticed. It's not a complete copy off because it is indeed different.

Also, if you think the La La Land games are deeper, than tell me the moral of this game. Tell me, what's the message? You don't know it, do you?

i did not say the story was the same, the whole idea is the same, the style, the randomness, the text the sprites everything is in the style, except the "message" is diffrent, and i understand both game's "message" as you call it, and all 5 la la lands i see are deeper, yours has more meaning, but the la la lands are still deeper, and yes, there is a diffrence

i would suggest not replying to this, because arguing will ge this topic locked, and i dont think you want that

Well for instance, in lala land 2, the taking of the gold was actually linked to the ending, which was that you took the gold from the nobles, while in this one, the ending is independent from the actions. You could of made a different mechanism of gameplay and you could still say that the sheep worked. So the wool didn't influence the expirience.
In lala land 2 you can get multiple messages such as selfishness, communism, unequality, etc... while in this one all you might probably get is that life is not fair.

Don't you mean the art style of it? I won't deny the art style is the same. Also, I repeat, what is my message?

How do you know if the end is independent? You don't know the moral of it, or the whole story. The ending is not independent from the actions in the game. Also, this does have a deep message that you don't get. The message is not that life isn't fair. Every single object in the game relates to the moral. You ignored all but one event of the game.

This game isn't bad. I didn't notice the similarity to the gameplay in La la land 2 untill I read the replies here. It is indeed similar, but since when was immitating the gameplay and graphical aspects of a game considered a bad thing? There are countless "mario clones" out there that could be blamed for stealing concepts, yet most of them are original enough to be enjoyable.

I liked the message of this game. I found multiple ones. For instance; that life isn't fair, that you can't trust people to do "the right thing", just because you do so yourself, and that you sometimes maybe shouldn't let chances slip you by.

Overall, not the best game ever. But definitely worth the download.

i think the message seems pretty obvious,
but if i post it here then i ruin the suspense for the rest of you,
but yeah it is really obvious if you just think about it for a few seconds

and that guy who mentioned 'an object' on the fence was on the right track... or are we both wrong together?

Judging by the cross at the end of the fence, I guess you might be critizing religion in the sense that no matter how much you worship or work for its cause ,death is still going to come and you'll die just like everyone else regardless.

I never thought of that, but yeah, that does kinda make sense! (I was wondering what the cross was there for, lol).

I like this game. At first, it looks like another Drink Tea or Die-quality game, but it actually has multiple hidden meanings :O.

I'm not helping with the interpretation now. So, you people go wild on interpreting it. You will be certain if it is the correct interpretation if everything goes along with it. I'll be happy to see what you people come up with. tongue.gif

Sounds to me like I found it but you don't want to admit so the game doesn't loose its hidden meaning. snitch.gif

Warrior, go to Game Maker Games, enter the controversial discussion, look at my position on arguements and then come tell me that again. ;P

I'm drawing back because people are starting to think about everything, not because anyone specifically has it.

Is it god is calling you to save you and put a way out with the cross, but you think you don't need him and can take care of yourself. When you get to the end of the day you say later, but later was too late and you should have gone over the fence the first chance you had?
