This is Hotel maker!!

In Hotel maker you can make, run and let guest into your own Hotel!!! It has 5 levels of play:

1 star: Build Hotel. Have at least 10 people staying in Hotel. Unlocks: Double bed.
2 star: Have at least 50 people in your Hotel. Unlocks: 2 Storeys.
3 star: Have at least 100 people in your Hotel. Unlocks: Swimming pool.
4 star: Have at least 200 people in your Hotel. Unlocks: 4 Storeys.
5 star: Have at least 500 people in your Hotel and 1 VIP. Unlocks: Fantasy mode (Unlimted money!!!)

At the moment I've just got started and started with a basic model. This models allows you to move the peices with left, up, right and down arrow keys. Lets you place objects with space key. And you can change objects using the 4 and 6 numlock keys!

I'm sorry but WTF is that?! All that this is is setting down defult game maker sprites... How is this suppose to be a hotel maker??? I think you seriously need to work on this if it's an actual attempt at a game.

Some people think it is rubbish but I DONT. Hey - here's a nice tip - On step event execute this for the mouse object:

with (mouseobject) {
x=mouse_x;
y=mouse_y;
}

the mouse object will follow the mouse and act like a cursor. See - x= mouse x position and y = mouse y position. Simple. I'm full of unusefull knowledge.

This isnt a hotel maker this is a press start to see a timer maker

How do you do stuff? i was looking forward to it but its completly rubbish

Here is a GM6 file of what I have done:  clicky

It contains two furniture objects. the variables must still be set e.g. on minibed click event set itemput=itembed;

then on floor click

if (itemput=itembed) {
instance_create (mouse_x,mouse_y,bed)

etc. If linky no work try again in 5 min

I made that version for you to see what I was able to do in a hurry. It is for you to improvise and I thought that by the means of the previous version that you needed some help.
