Greets.

Since I started the Ragdoll physics topic in Experts section, I have been getting numerous requests for porting CoderChris's GM v6.x GMPhysics.dll SCRIPTS over to GM v5.x (registered), and I too could use it for one of my older projects.

As far as I can tell, you only need to tweak the scripts to adjust to the v5.x functions. The DLL is independent is only called via the GM scripts - so it *may* not require any changing at all. ;)

Sadly I am not adept enough to port the dll to function with 5.x. Is there some brave champion here who can undertake this task? (I have PM'd the author as well, but no response as yet.)

CoderChris's example can be found here:

Ragdoll Physics topic can be found here:

The reward for accomplishing this monumental task is immortality in the above Ragdoll Physics topic. :( ;)

Regards.
SSN

Thanks for the info. :) Appreciated.

Sadly, the GM6-GM5 comes with problems. First Missing RICHTX32.OCX and COMDLG32.OCX. (Only one is mentioned for download.)

And when they both have been registered, the program chokes when converting with the message: Out of memory!!

Such audacity! I have 1.5GB of RAM and a 256MB Gfx card on a 3GHz system!

Methinks its still in its stages of infancy - or a false hope.

The challenge is STILL on! Can anyone convert the GM6 GMPhysics.dll SCRIPTS to work with GM v5.x?

The latest version of gm converter (released today :D) will convert these .gm6 files. But you may have to change some of the code to work in gm5. The next version (3.0) of gm converter will also convert gm6 code into gm5 code as much as possible. So if you have any code to sumit please post in the topic.

thanks,
