Srehpog, you shouldn't set the resolution to 640×480, because when my screensaver appears and I want to continue playing, the screen is black. Also it is better to make screenshots when the game is set to window-size.
Also at the final boss, there doesn't appear a blue triangle as you mentioned, however it does appear for 1/3 of a second... after I go back from the pause-screen to the fight. Also in that same round the fps is 4!!!! How is this possible, Srehpog? (While the slowest moments in the game where 12 fps...) QUOTE BG&E? The most obvious similarity I can think of is with the Flask boss and the DomZ serpents....but I never did reach the game boss. I'll see if I can find a picture of him... A few other similarities: the final boss looks a bit the same (but you said you never reached it, what a coinsedence!), the collecting of pearls/kytri crystals, the sneaking in the lighttower and... The factory boss is a goop that can possess material: intent can also possess material... Do you already have found out how I become invincible? And as mentioned before by somebody else: at the shooting minigame in the NSV-tower I reached a maximum of 235, and guess what... no kytri crystal. |

QUOTE (Tryagain @ Nov 14 2005, 02:30 AM) 200? I've gotten like 265 pts. and still no crystal, and it's the last one I need! Then I'll need a new obsession, I mean game. This is very odd. The code says >200, I tried it myself and it worked. I'll try and see if and when the wrong variable changes, but.....I really don't know. I'll look. QUOTE (The Chozoen one @ Nov 15 2005, 04:54 AM) Hmm, another glitch. I entered the water maze with the big octopus thing again, and I was able to go through the damaged engine sequence. The octopus didn't appear though, when I got to its room. Maybe you should block off the cave off once you beat it. Hmm, that's not a glitch as such, although I agree it makes no sense. I thought players would prefer to play the D2 sequence again as many times as they liked, rather than only do it once. Perhaps I'll add a secondary reward afterwards... QUOTE (arao @ Nov 16 2005, 01:47 AM) anyways, made progres on walkthrough...this is heck though, trying to make maps...hey sreh/anyone else, would you know an easy way to make a map of some of the areas? also, sreh, when you update the file, on the main post, could you put the most recent update date? it can tend to be confuzzling at times. - Just a lot of print-screen, I think. - Yeah, I will do. I'll update soon when I've fixed the Kytri glitch. QUOTE (Creator135 @ Nov 17 2005, 01:13 PM) Srehpog, you shouldn't set the resolution to 640×480, because when my screensaver appears and I want to continue playing, the screen is black. Also it is better to make screenshots when the game is set to window-size. I can't really have a final version in anything other than 640 though. You don't expect to alt-tab console games, so this should be the same. It's just too small in windowed mode, especially on big resolutions. QUOTE (Creator135 @ Nov 17 2005, 01:13 PM) Also at the final boss, there doesn't appear a blue triangle as you mentioned, however it does appear for 1/3 of a second... after I go back from the pause-screen to the fight. Also in that same round the fps is 4!!!! How is this possible, Srehpog? (While the slowest moments in the game where 12 fps...) The drawing event involved in making the triangle appear used to be dependent on FPS. I didn't think the whole battle would run at <15... 12 is certainy VERY low. He's just a resource-hungry boss. I've removed a lot of graphical fancy stuff since he was coded, but it seems to run slowly in there on some machines anyway. I'll debug it with an object count... QUOTE (Creator135 @ Nov 17 2005, 01:13 PM) A few other similarities: the final boss looks a bit the same (but you said you never reached it, what a coinsedence!), the collecting of pearls/kytri crystals, the sneaking in the lighttower and... The factory boss is a goop that can possess material: intent can also possess material... I found the ending in the DomZ fortress too boring and green. I never reached the end boss. The collection of an item is central to nearly every adventure game - in BG&E they're compulsory, in Ark they are not. It's like heart pieces in Zelda. The lighthouse stealth section is small and mostly because I just really wanted a useless stealth section. QUOTE (Creator135 @ Nov 17 2005, 01:13 PM) Do you already have found out how I become invincible? Yes. If you have something a certain way, it happens every time too. Don't ask. QUOTE (Creator135 @ Nov 17 2005, 01:13 PM) And as mentioned before by somebody else: at the shooting minigame in the NSV-tower I reached a maximum of 235, and guess what... no kytri crystal. Very, very odd. I'll keep looking. Update coming soon - just need to fix these couple of bugs... This post has been edited by Srehpog: Nov 17 2005, 08:39 PM |

Okay, but still, the boss doesn't appear when you get to its room.
BTW, just wanted to let you know, your "celebratory artwork now sits proudly as my wallpaper. |

Hmm... correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't >200 mean less than 200? Shouldn't it be more than 200 or <200? Just a thought. Anyway I'll keep trying it. Might be that I'm at the end of the game or something, although I don't see how that has anything to do with it. |

I found two 'bugs': the snow is in different rooms moving in different directions, AND in the right area of the North-West Village the background (not the foreground) moves (when you watch closely).
And one very little question: is the HappyGamingAssociation-card useful for something during gameplay? |

QUOTE QUOTE(vanhelsing @ Nov 16 2005, 11:43 AM) um, i already knew what the code was for the belt machine, its COFFEE, i meant if the number was supposed to do anything, like enter it into the belt machine and you get something perhaps after defeating the flask boss?
hmmmm, so you get the wallets at the museum... and where would i find one of the items i need for the museum? all i did was get to chapter 5, go through the piramid a little and noticed it is fsking hard... and i have gone back through pretty much each area to find something for the museum, but still got nothing... meep. so it got annoying and i accidently deleted it when i downloaded something new that would edit my desktop, but now, im just in heck. QUOTE Srehpog, you said that the building south of NSV and the building left of the Mountain Lodge is a secret... In what way a secret? And can you give us at least a (perhaps cryptic) hint how we can reveal the secrets? And how must we use the phone??? yeah, how on earth do you get to those two buildings? QUOTE 1-800-CHEAT-ME is that a code for the belt machine that you use to get to the flask boss? What your looking for is biomatter. One piece has been reveled all ready in this post so I'll repeat it here. Head two screens north of the NSV village (screen with the bomb shop). There is a circle of stones in the middle of the screen. Bomb them and then wave your sword over the gray discoloration in the the center of the stones to get your first piece. I'll leave finding the other 7 pieces to you. One thing though there is a bug that may prevent you from getting one piece. Srehpog knows about it, but I don't know if it's fixed in the current version. No thats not the code for activating the belt machine. You'll be kicking yourself when you find out what it is. |

The place to enter the 1800 number is the mansion in the north. There's a table on the ground floor of the mansion with an old phone on it. |

I found some sort of bug i think. I was in the village just after you get off the ship, and I pressed the menu screen button, and this happened.
CODE ERROR in action number 1 of Create Event for object status_control: Error in code at line 63: if dx=-1000 int=0 else int=1 at position 5: Unknown variable dx Just if that helps Sharky |

Say, when fighting the giant bat in chapter 3, did anyone have strange messages pop up, such as "Would you like to quit?", "Would you like to die?" and "Game over. please insert 100 credits."
It's really weird. you can still move around when these messages appear. Can you explain, Srehpog, or do you even know about this? I hope noone's hacking my comp... |

Those messages are just for confusing you, that giant bat makes them... It's better to ignore them. |

There's a FAQ for the first dungeon in this topic. There's a link to it in the very first post. Alright, sorry for the lack of updates - I've been sent a big list of about 20 bugs, almost all of which are fixed now, so there'll be a (hopefully) near-perfect version available soon. I just need to find out why that last crystal isn't working... |

Aha! I played the game all over again, and I won that Kytri-crystal of the shooting mini-game. But as it seems to be, I can't get it anymore where I am now... at chapter 6.

The next version will be non-resolution-changing, for ease of use. Once I've gone through a list of suggestions which have been sent to me (and are therefore quite complicated), I'll upload an update. That should be it for bugs at the moment, though. |

This is an amazing game!!! I have been playing for 5 hours and I just got bombs. I did find a "bug" though:
QUOTE The "boat" appears randomly in rooms when you left the boat someplace else. That really isn't big either, and I don't know if it has been mentioned before. (I am not reading through 16 pages). AMAZING, LizardMan |
