hey this is a good tutorial in gml stuff but please could you do a forum about basic coding because im 13 and dont understand it very well. ty

Same# i am 13 and do not get it that well
i got the first bits but as i got nearer the end you lost me
when you talk about hp, mp-healer, money eg do you make variables in the same way?
Also when you talk about hspeed and vspeed you say theat the both affect the horzontial speed

I need help, I want to animate my guy walking. but when the spirt starts in the game he walks, when i push the right or left arrow he flots and animation stops.. how can I start him in a standing postion then when I push the right or left arrow, the animation of him walking starts?

This tutorial DOES cover basic coding. If you want to learn drag and drop please see other tutorials.

Hey guys, i really need a tutorial for how to make libraries with the library editor thing, i have it but i really need a tutorial, preferably pdf format but at least somthing to read. I don't need examples but wondering if someone could please please help me. I understand gml a little but it's easy to learn, lol, i used to think it would be hard to learn months ago and tried to avoid it but now... I'm learning, so happy. But I don't understand how to use the libary editor thing. Please help me someone... Please... make =( a =) please. Thans to anyone who can help me. I am foreever gratful.
P.S. I am writing a book. Just thought I'd let yous know.

Oh well, I want to learn how to make Libaraies but maybe simple things like pause game and stuff, I got pro, no probs. Just anything simple for learning how to use it.

Years to master? Hah thats a good joke, I only started using GML 7-8 months ago and I am fluent in it. But of course, making good games with your scripting knowledge is hard and takes years to master.
Everyone who's like "Man I am only thirteen ITS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND", age has nothing to do with it. I am thirteen and have programmed in C/C++/C#/Freebasic, I wouldn't consider myself fluent in C and C# but in C++ and Freebasic I am pretty advanced.

Same. The original owner of the page probably doesn't own that space anymore, and the site you saw was -most likely- the people who hosted the original site. Either that or the owner just decided to sell out and spam/troll us with some random site, somewhere down the line (given that this was a staff choice tutorial, I'm assuming it was legit at some point, at least ).

If an editor/moderator would please contact the OP about this or simply take it off the "staff choice" section and put it somewhere else temporarily or whatever it is that you guys do with these things when there's a problem, that'd be great.
