This is sweet! But I don't need the search engine, I already have two other toolbars for that.

Because I have about a million thing on my favorites list (I rarely even use the address bar) This way i don't have to have any trouble finding the gM sites on my favs list.

EDIT: Well that was a pretty neat toolbar. I like it.

I don't think it's a bad idea. Nice work, Celebraces.

thats why they cunningly included folders

bookmarks > manage bookmarks [add new folder]

Still, you find you have a lot of sites that don't fit into a single description... :P

That's why you organize them in nice folders:

EDIT: The second image wasn't a good example
It doesn't matter how many you have, just how you organize them.

Anyways, I think this is a neat idea.. somewhat. I'd never use it though.

Kind Regards,

Toolbars are a waste of memory and the browser's viewable area.

Add folders in your bookmarks/favorites section with links in it. Simple as that.

I made one of these a while ago at some site but it wasn't as good as this one. Good work - I won't use it only because I 1) don't like toolbars like these and 2) I don't use IE or Firefox.

Quite useless.

All it is folks, is a toolbar that has bookmarks in it. Click on the blue ball, and you get a list of forums on the GMC. The gear has some common user CP links, and the red ball contains links to the gamemaker.nl site.

It takes an extra 3 minutes on my computer (AMD 64+ with 64 bit Linux Kernel) to start up firefox which otherwise takes seconds. When it loads, it says 'loading toolbar' while It fetches the real contents. Taking apart this new script it pulls, I see no mention of 'game maker' within. Just a bunch of well put dynamic code that does nothing more than advertise themselves (upon clicking 'about'), and make links appear with creator-set images.

Thanks everyone. sorry, i cant make a netscape version. i used a free toolbar maker, so the search function has to stay (unless i can figure out how to make a toolbar myself).

it's not for everyone, as it kinda makes firefox load slower, but there's no real difference on my machine, (internet explorer, Celeron 2.4GHz, 256 MB RAM, Windows XP Pro).

It only takes up about 40px, its not much if you have a high resoultion (which i'd guess most of you have)

If anyone wants their forum or site added under a links button, the offer is still open.

Heh, just so you know that despite Effectivebrands claims - the toolbar has been classed as adware since December last year.

Quote

Behavior
Adware.IEMenuExt is a toolbar that sends information on URLs visited to predetermined Web sites. It may then display advertisements on the computer.

Course, thats the price you pay with most toolbars :D

Easier just to take the advice earlier in the thread and use bookmarks. Safer in the long run I find.

bookmarks are your friend. Firefox allready comes with a search bar too, so i fail to see the point in it.
