I have been working on this game for quite some time. Most of the time was spent perfecting the grid movement and collisions for the game. Right now it is pretty good but the going into houses and stuff are still buggy. I want people to test it out and see how it is. Right now it is only a beta. You can go from pallet town to Sunset Valley (my custom made route). The next version will have access to the next city after Pallet Town.


Download Pokemon Turquoise.exe(Right Click Save As...)

This is 1.0 beta. I have updated the link.

I'll give you a 8/10 for grafics but it could have a little more work if you walk just a little for some reson you jump to the nearest walking space. but besides that it's awesome!

Thanx. I've been working on this for a month and im still trying to perfect grid movement. I got the collisions pretty good right now. I'm working on making a custom city after you go past Sunset Valley. I forgot to update the exe before I uploaded it. But right now it is only a beta.

The Menu screenshot is not officialy the final design for that room. The design may be different when Version 1.0 is released.

I swear as soon as I started my Pokemon game it seems EVERY person is trying to make there own. Wierd isn't it? Also there is a slight buggish thing when you go up to a tree. You can see through a little line in it!

I know, I'm still working on masks and stuff. This should be fixed in the next version.

what if you use "snap to a grid" with 16x16 instead of 32x32
or 8x8 instead of 16x16

than you won't jump so much when you release the key in the middel of a grid

just an idea!!!

Lol. Well I might be getting the new version out tommorrow afternoon sometime. Version 1.0 will have some bugs fixed.


Fixed bugs in Version 1.0
You no longer look like your walking on top of a fence when you walk behind it.
Fixed the same thing with the trees and mailboxes.
Will be using free-movement for the next few version until grid movement is fixed.

New stuff in Version 1.0
New route and town to go to.
Surfing.
Probably can fly from each city back and forth.
Biking (probably).



So far this game is going pretty good. I might add battles in version 2.0.

To Pikpik22: Well you cant because this is the Beta. In the next version you will be able to go into the next route and city

i have and i think it's great
the graphic is exelent, but movement sucks

if you use the "helping picture" up ^ there the player moves just like in real pokemon games

Cool, but you should atleast let us talk to people...and create people for us to talk to... :GM5: You could make us run with running shoes like in the original pokemon games. ;) Just a suggestion.

Well i like that you have done the title screen, i liked that...now down to business... when i tried to go out of the house i got stuck in the door and therefore had to go bak in the house so i was stuck... <_< Grid movement is kinda weird cuz he doesnt look aligned with the tiles....a good start though....just a though y do most poeple use that character...what about the one im using that guys pretty cool :(

That is called grid movement, game_maker-somenumber. Something that all Pokemon games need.

Thee are so many pokemon games, there gona run out of colors. I can imagine "Pokemon Purple-Blue with hint of Yellow"

Anyways, good game. I wil kep my eyes on this.

Um the Door stays open forever after you enter your rivels house. In your rivels house you walk to slow and you slide when you walk.

LMAO! yes i can see that to, btw, nice game, good graphics, alot of bugs, but they can be fixed
