Im still trying to figure out after 20 rounds of playing, if there is any strategy beside flying is circles and hitting auto-aim-spacebar-lasers like mad.
maybe reduced gamespeed with manual aiming would improve it..
The gamespeed makes it fun, and the manual aiming is with the mouse
And yeah -- flying in circles own
btw - could someone take a few seconds to do this one answer poll?

Okay, now its alot better ;D
I still dont think the "arcade" gameplay is good for the pixel-war engine. Overall the idea is pretty cool. You got the PIXEL part of the name in, now its time to add the WAR part, imo. Like Aliens flying in squads (no ff, its space after all..) and maybe faster missiles (too slow, you can shoot them down and they will neverever hit you, if you dont try to fly into them). You could have wingmen yourself, formations via 1-0 keys (incl no formation).
And if it is not against the name of pixel wars (the planets arent pixels, too :
Oh yea and Gates > Free Zoning.

And if it is not against the name of pixel wars (the planets arent pixels, too :, you could add bigger ships like some heavy destroyer moving slowing around => you need to fight the small pixel interceptors he will launch when you come in range and after that kill it part-by-part (defense turrets, bridge, engine, ..). Some different/bigger ships could really add some stellar war feeling.

Well once again, I'll say that Pixel War is a finished project. I do realize it has its drawbacks, but it was made a year ago, and we have been working on a better version instead of trying to patch up the old one. I do realize that those are all good ideas, but allas, I will not use them
