RAGDOLL MATRIX (real physics)
Download from: (game(~1.8Mb) = zip, music = zip) my host: (newest version) Check my sig or My site Mirror You don't have to download the music. The game works without them. Description: Dodge bullets with a ragdoll. Try it. It's probably a bit challenging at first but you'll love it. Unlock all the cool moves and the last game mode. Inspiration by the dismounts (tAAt). Made with GM6 and GM_ODE. Please tell me what you think about this game. It's my first game on the internet. This post has been edited by RTsa: May 8 2005, 09:25 AM |

A bit difficult to move, or I'm just not used to it.
The guy reacts pretty well on the bullets! Looks like real. You have a good job with this. Umm, that's all I can tell about... (oh, I like your logo |

I've changed it to zip now. (will remove the rar soon so don't download that)
Screen shot at the same location as the game. (gif, so colors aren't that good) And yes I've made it myself with the GM_ODE from Steffen Itterheim. If people would bother to go to the website they would see that the creation is now in a zip file. The music is in rar but it has been stated already that the music is not required.
Very interesting and well done RTsa. I had not been keeping up with the regdoll physical topic in the experts forum because I have little use for it, but it looks as if you have done a fairly nice job with this engine. I think that you should set ESC to go back to the main menu and then ESC again to get out of there. My poor guy feels rather spineless (just like a ragdoll, I suppose). He can barely ever stay on his feet, and when he is moving he either looks drunk, like he is trying to work out, or attempting (poorly, I might add) a few moves that only dancers from the 70's and 80's dared to perform! My only suggestion... since practice mode is just that... for practicing and fooling around, it would be nice for you to add a variable to increase/decrease the speed of all movements... not by too much, but to be able to make the same movements with a "doll" that could be moving a bit faster could make it feel a little more realistic. All in all... a very nice job from what I can see |

Now uploaded a new version (v.1.01).
Added: Speed Adjuster (use + and - in the menu) Esc now returns to menu first. Thanks for helping me make this a better game. See sig for download link. |

Dude, this game is awesome! This is an example of a good idea successfully carried over to GM. The movement is very nice, and the GFX are good as well.
My only suggestions are 1. Put the music in a seperate .zip folder. Please. 2. Maybe make the ragdoll look like Neo or something.... 3. Make it so you can record your movements Overall, you did an excellent job with this game. I give it an 8.5/10, keep up the good work This post has been edited by Magicman657: Nov 13 2004, 02:01 AM |

This game is very funny the doll is just like some limp body and I agree with Magicman657 on the music being in a zip file and making the doll look like neo.
I give it 8/10 This post has been edited by chimasterwang: Nov 13 2004, 01:35 PM |

Very, VERY fun game. I don't see why this isn't getting so many replies. I like the challenge in trying to unlock new moves by getting less than 4 damage. It's the most frustrating yet addictive thing since Jumper!
I don't know why I keep smiling and marvelling at the ragdoll while playing the game. I especially love the satisfaction at dodging a bullet inches (pixels!) from the ragdolls head So, to wrap everything up: Download this if you want pure fun. A definite 10/10. Knux EDIT: Oh yeah, why do you have a pig with a nosebleed as your logo? Also, it's quite tedious waiting for the splash screens at the start. PLEASE let us skip it. Great physics on that model!
Although it's a bit hard to get used to the controls, it's really fun! Good work! |

As you who have played the game propably know you can unlock abilities by surviving easy, medium or hard. My questions are: Has anyone got all the abilities yet? What are your best scores?
If damage exeeds 3 (damage >= 4) you are considered dead and have not survived. My best scores: easy: 0 medium: 0 hard: 3 dodge this: 7 Hint: You don't have to play the normal game mode to unlock something. Crossfire is harder than normal (just my opinion), but it might be easier to play massive fire mode (if you figure out a good tactic). If someone does the graphics of Neo or tells me where to get them, I'll probably put them to the game. (of course the creator will be credited) As for the game recording...I don't think I'm able to do that, sorry. Also the music as zip...I'd do it but my host is down right now and that also means you probably can't download from there. Use chaos3d's link. I'm sorry for this inconvieniece. |
