Why not have a look at Bacteria 2, the newest version, staff choice, 7500+ downloads, featured on www.gamemaker.nl, ...

I'm proud to announce my latest creation, Bacteria. Bacteria is a hard logic puzzle game.
You are the green defence army. You need to destroy the red enemy
Click on any green stone to rotate it clockwise. The stone to which the green stone is pointing then will also become green and so will all the stones that point to this stone and so forth and so forth.
The rules are simple. The stratagy required is not. Good luck playing the game.

Simon Donkers is a Genius! This game is pure gold. I love everything about it, from the funny MUHAHAHAHA to the pure orginality and addictiveness. This game proves that even the most simple games with proper guidence, can do no wrong. My congrads.

Although the presentation is a bit bland, this is one great, addictive and very hard puzzler.

When you say Its very hard, you are speaking the truth. Its a good game, but again, the graphics are not of high quality. A couple of black and white buttons made in paint, and a circle with a triangle in it, colourized. Programming is good though, as it is an addictive game - one which will be played again.

Congrats,

Timmins

Thanks for all the compliments. It took me some work to make the game (in particular the AI) but it is nice to see so many good replies on the game.
Timmins: I must agree with evileddy on the graphics part. Making some special flashing graphics will only pull away the attention of the game play.
Thanks again for all the positive replies.

I don't think they should be flashing graphics really, and I don't mean to be rude. I just think that maybe some sort of a better gradient would improve the game slightly, and I don't agree that good graphics draws the user away from the gameplay, and I think quite the opposite. I think good graphics makes a game better by a long shot.

Really nice game. On my first try I lost terribly but on my second try, I managed to win. I think the graphics are very fitting and the mechanics are unique despite resembling other puzzle games. The huge back-and-forth waves are intense.

Now if only I could manage to stop messing things up in one of my projects where I'm trying to integrate your excellent infinite room example. :)

Thanks for all your very positive feedback. I am glad to head somebody has finished the game. I have a few more ideas for improving the AI but I have waited with implementing them because I was afraid the game would become to hard. If enough people can beat the game then I will go and implement it for a new version.

The version I send you for beta testing was a very early engine demo. The graphics have all been updated since then. The buttons for instane now do have a gradient.
But I agree, I could improve the graphics by for instance not using some plain white buttons. But I like the current version. And looking through this topic quite a lot of people like this. Although you are of cource entitled on your opinion.
I can't believe Tapeworm replied to this topic. Seiklus is still on my harddrive and is in my opinion the best GM game ever

It is interesting. I like it. I managed to beat it my first try. Lol, stupid AI, took my 1 ston then I captured the computer and then got my stone back and won, lol. I don't really care for the graphics, but man...I couldn't see which way the red markers were pointing to.

Wow... that's really... wow...

I have never seen a game like this before! This is absolutely brilliant! One of the most original games I have ever seen in GM History! Fun to play, nice to look at, addictive and challenging too! That's like the megamega combination. I'm going to play some more!

The game was a remake of Desinfect the core. Which I also mentioned on the credits list. Also you can find a link to that game on the game page on the left under related links. I made this game at first as a challange to see if I could make the AI. Since the game worked out very well I decided to add some nice graphics and post it here.
Thanks for all the positive comments. It really motivates me more to work harder on my new game.

Nice work, this is addictive indeed. It's exceptionally challenging too. I haven't actually beaten the computer yet, but I'm get close. Great puzzle game!!
