This is a Wormsesque game I have been working on the last 7 months and it is finally finished!

Play the Campaign mode with six levels of tantalising mayhem, in which you fight off crazy factions in deserts, icy wastelands and a volcano! Use an increasing arsenal in each level to decimate your opponents! There are four terrain types each with their own behaviour, some even have events that may occur between rounds!

But that's not all! Four maps can be chosen from for the Skirmish and Team Battle modes and the AI has been made razor-sharp resulting in sniper accuracy (at times) at varying distances!

I decided not to add a multi-single player mode (i.e. two players on one computer) since most people are used to online support. Therefore I focussed on getting the AI to a respectable level.

Why are you still reading? Download, play, ENJOYETH!

I just finished the first level, and I can tell you one thing... You need to make ESC bring up a pause menu, and not just exit the game, because I just pressed it when I wanted to reply to this topic.

The first level is easy; you need to figure out the trick to it. Awesome level design, I didn't notice what to do at first, but once I did, I finished it without getting hit a single time ;)

This is my kind of strategy game, where you don't just have to do everything as perfectly and swiftly as possible, but rather figure out a solid strategy that will render the enemy defenseless. Seriously, awesome game so far. If I hadn't already nominated another game for the cage match, I would've easilly picked this one. Now I gotta do some homework, I'll be back with comments as soon as I have time to play some more.

One thing you could do to improve it, go over the timing. Some of the texts fade out too slowly when you press the key to make them dissappear. Try tempering a bit with small things like this untill the presentation will be perfect. It makes a lot of difference.

This is the second good strategy game I've played ever, Jeluvian being the first. Two good ones in a week, this is sweet :D

Awesome graphics, great gameplay, excellent music. Baltirow, you did it! Instant classic. Might be a little too hard for me, but I still love it.

Thank you all for your positive feedback and constructive criticism :) I am very glad to hear you all enjoy this game so much, since I have put a lot of energy in it!. Tanks ^_^

I have taken all remarks (on various forums) into account and have made an updated version. This can be found in the first post.

The changes are listed below, some highlights: For the difficulty with the levsl, I have added ingame-tips you can view by pressing the T key. Mind you, it is more fun to figure out your own strategy! The other thing I like to point out is that Skirmish mode is now multi-player hotseat, allowing you to battle with/ against friends on one computer!

The game is now zipped an has a read me document attached, replacing the ingame information (F1 functionality is removed).

Version 1.2
· Skirmish mode is now Multi-player hotseat (no longer against AI)
· Added screen transitions
· Added campaign tips!
· Two additional tracks in campaign mode
· Text messages can be sent away using Space (Esc pauses now)
· Campaign text font enlarged and added background for readability
· Snow and Volcano burst events have lower chance of occuring
· Improved Credits
· Adversary team-name changed of final campaign
· BUG FIX: Selecting Load campaign when no campaign was saved made menu disappear

Well, there is a problem. I played it in two players and it was a tie and the game wouldn't go any further so I had to close it.
Anyway the game is great!
Here are my ratings:
Graphics: 8/10
Sounds: 7/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Controls: 10/10
Alltogether: 8/10

Wery nice!

Thanks for the compliments, always great to have a 10/10 for controls :( I'm very happy gameplay gets a high score (even more than Graphics, woe me :) ). I agree that the sound could be better, but how is the score built up? Sound FX worse than music?

Anywho, that Tie bug is rather embarrasing and I'll try and fix that in what hopefully will be the final version ;)

Thanks JaJ, I'm really honoured!

@running_couger: I just checked both links and they work fine... If you still have problems later, PM me and I will either add a mirror or mail it to you.

Some really neat Tankart. I liked the way you designed the blocks - such simple use of shapes to work out the textures, which gives them a very clean yet "filled" look. I definitely want to be trying something like that the next time I make a game too.

Sweet colours.

Thanks for the compliments on the graphics, Pondwater.

Glad you like the colours :D

Hope you enjoyed the game too. If you ever need help making this type of game, just say so (PM or something such).

Ive got a tip for the third campaign level.

On Khan's first turn, have him drop all the way to the bottom. Why? Due to the fact that it snows, and that the CPU almost always fires straight up, The Doctor will end up killing himself with his own bullets and grenades due to the snow piling up on him. Your three tanks can then focus on the other two enemies.

Tip: STAY.AWAY.FROM.THE.BOTTOM.TANKS.
Their flamethrowers are strong enough to melt through a solid bllock and deal heavy damage, possibly even a OHKO. Harass them from above or the side with your tanks. Also, Khan who is at the left side of the two enemy tanks will keep them busy for a while while you whittle away their health.

If you are stuck, don't forget to view the ingame tips (press 'T' as stated in the readme). For the first level, don't stick in one place and never forget it is not about killing your opponent asap, but tactically.

@Fuzzywuzzy: Thanks for your tactical approach! It's fun to see other people's insights and I am glad you want to help your fellow man!

Hope you both enjoy the game!
