I am still working on new version of Almora. Servers are down, because I will reset the old accounts. It's necessary because in previous version there was too much unbalance. I don't know the accurate date of release a new version, but I know there will be lot of changes and perfect atmosphere ( Thanks to RobWestwood for new excellent music tracks )

Please don't reply on this topic as long as I will finish the new version.

Ok, this will probably be the first useful while-downloading reply you'll get...

The screens look great, but the filesize is big, and the transfer is slow. In about 15 minutes the download should have finished for me. I'll create a mirror download for you on my server, which has a transfer rate of 2,8 mb per second.

What do i want in return? Finish this project. You are obviously a very dedicated gamemaker, don't give up on this. Keep at it.

Download is now at 20%, you'll have a fast mirror soon.

I can give you a high-speed mirror also, although mine downloaded at 150KB/s so it didn't take long. Maybe everyone was downloading at the same time.

However, the server just went down... maybe it's back up again now. It'll be great when you can get a faster server for this game. I'm sure there'll be many people willing to help you out if you need one.

Some spelling/grammatical mistakes also which need to be ironed out.

Well, after 3 minutes connecting (I didn't notice my Firewall wich asked if Almora could connect), I created my character. It looked good and I went to a fight. It was crowed and people were pushed into KS'ing.
But there are some nasty things in the game; First of all (and Borek, you probably heard me in Almora, I'm chikkenstorm) people can loot my gold! After killing a snake, my 127 gold just got robbed away by someone else. Not very nice.
2nd, you can get trapped by monsters; when you're surrounded by them, you can't move! Not very nice when you're into the snake zone.
And than it crashed, and I'll try to get in again.

I hope you can fix the loot thingy, but it looks great already.

I got disconnected after a few minutes and can't connect again... well, at least I have time to post some first impressions.

The menu is very nice and looks professional, or at least it would if there weren't so many typos.
"led by shaman from hell, whos posses great magical powers." - who possesses I guess?
"even tho the battles occur often" - though
"and the humans don't alway win they plan" - always, their
(by the way, does "win their plan" make sense? I'm not sure, not being a native speaker...)
"the symbol of vicory and justice" - victory
"now it is your task objective well" - shouldn't this be "as well"?

Also the cursor shadow in the menu looks very strange to me, as if you edited in the GM sprite editor using the "Transparent" command (which makes transparency by turning half of the pixels into the transparent color). That might be just something with my hardware though...

And one bug in-game: the tooltip for the deposit is visible even over the opened inventory.

Otherwise, great game , what a shame I can't reconnect. Well, I'll try again.

EDIT: Uh huh, it's the server, well, let's hope it'll be back up soon.

lennartje, the loot thing might not be a mistake, maybe it's intended, as stealing money this way makes some kind of strategy.

Another EDIT: Hmm, Borek's not here, not on GMClan, maybe he finally went to get some sleep. After all, he deserves it. So let's wish him "Good night".

If it was ment to steal others loot, it would be very bad. Just go follow a good player and get all his loot. Specially when the game is going larger; When you go kill real great monsters. When you got a nice loot, it's gone, stolen by a noob.
And this would also have a great impact on players with a not-so-fast connection. They'll never have a chance to get some loot.

And yeah, the server is down Too bad.

man, not to be rude but is is some sort of thing made only to try my patience!

lag, bugs, someone killing a trader so the fps went down to below zero.
and it takes ages to start. augh!

and why is everything so expensive? even the food! and its extremely hard to become lvl 2 since its about 250 exp and you get like 26 for each bug (which takes half an hour to kill!).

look, it is very nice and i know it is only a beta.

overall thumbs up!
