WOW! That is very nice. The concept is very unique and is an extremely nice game to be made with gamemaker. I love the graphics, gameplay, everything! This is a very nice game.

Just GET RID OF THE INSTALLER!!!

the installer isnt such a big deal since the game is actually finished.
I was impressed with the video but wasnt as much with the game itself. my computer isnt bad, but it isnt the best, and it lagged all the time, not horribly, but it did.

the graphics were pretty good but I can understand how they couldnt be better, since gm doesnt support as many features as it should. then your sounds...most were good, but then I noticed you used some default gm sounds... anyway, good luck gaining profit.

I played the free hour demo and was very impressed by the quality, it looks so professional.

The game is very deep and has tons of power ups and features and the lvl editor is fantastic and easy to operate.

Well done,

You should sell loads.

Darren.

I also played the free hour long demo, and I must say that I'm also very impressed.

The graphics are outstanding, there's no doubt about that.

The level editor is easy to use and it certainly would have held my interest far longer than any other breakout game would have.
I say 'would have' because my hour ran out, and I wasn't prepared to re-install it again.

Seriously, if you have a good internet connection that can easily handle the 14Mb install, I advise people here play this. If not only to see the sort of high-quality games that Game Maker can produce.

I would be upset if this didn't make the cage match, or if this game just ends up being ignored, as some of the good games here do....

Best game i have seen using Gamemaker and should be a show piece for what GM can do.

I also can't beleive its going to slip away deep in the forums as it deserves so much more.

Great work.

Darren.

I thought it was quite well done also. It still does have that tedious Breakout feel to it, but it was still original enough to keep me amused for a while. It all seemed to be put together nicely and all the graphics were good. As someone else mentioned, the default gm sounds really took away from the overall presentation. Not that they come with gm, just that they sound horrible in game :D

How's everything going with this project anyway? Have you made many sales so far?

He was talking about phubans, the GMC member who is working on Madhouse...

As for the game, I really liked what I played of it. What caught my attention most, was the story-driven gameplay with the "quest" feel to it (which the music enhanced greatly). There's so many different aspects to this game as a whole, and each part of game design seems to be done at a very high level (gfx, music, coding, etc..). Very nicely done. I can't wait to see what you have in store for your next game(s) also...

Hey! Thanks for all the feedback so far.

I have just updated Axle-B to version 1.03.4 and have reduced the download size a bit. It is now only a installer of (10.7)MB

If anybody cares to give it a go, please drop me a note if you have any thoughts on the game.

I would love to make version 1.04 a lot better.

Best,

<_< Will.
